  • "It is not an inappropriate conversation because nothing wrong was done. The process does not matter."

Then why is he being evasive about his own role in the matter? If nothing wrong was done don't you think it's strange that he doesn't want to take responsibility for those decisions?

  • It does not matter WHO put WHO on the list WHEN or WHY. The President and the Attorney General can ask a US attorney to resign for ANY REASON they want. Gonzales told them HE made the decision, and WHY he made it. That is MORE than they are entitled to know.

  • In a fascist nation you'd be correct. Since this nation isn't fascist all political decisions are and should be available for public inquiry. Sorry. Does this have anything to do with national security? No. He has to answer the questions. And he is being untruthful.

  • Was there an inquiry when Clinton fired ALL 93 in one day? No! This is nothing but the Democrats trying to create a scandal. Actually, Gonzales can say, "Stuff" and claim executive privilege.

  • almost all US attorneys resign or are replaced when a new president comes in.

  • Admittedly "paralyzed" and "distraught" from the burgeoning scandal, Goodling went to Gonzales late one Thursday or Friday evening in mid-March to at first ask for a transfer from his office, prompting what Goodling considered a potentially inappropriate conversation. Gonzales brought up the process leading up to the mass firings last year of U.S. attorneys.

  • It is not an inappropriate conversation because nothing wrong was done. The process does not matter.

  • FIRE THIS MOTHERFUCKER

  • Just go: AG Gonzales too discredited to continue

Nothing would become the legacy of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales more than his departure. For that is all that is left for the disgraced former White House counsel, who never really set aside that legal/political role after President Bush named Gonzales to head the Justice Department.

  • As one might expect, Eliot Spitzer, the former New York attorney general turned governor, has some opinions about Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. As one might expect, they are not kind.

"I think it is a blight upon the Department of Justice that Alberto Gonzales is still the attorney general," Mr. Spitzer said in an interview last week.

  • Wolfowitz <- you've just been fired for ethics violations.

Gonzales <- you're next, you crooked little turd.

  • Daddy said,Do not worry as long as I am in the WH what daddy says GOES!

  • Wow! I cannot believe this guy is our Attorney General. Is there anyone in this Administation that not incompetent?

  • Alberto Gonzales accepts full resposibility for everything he remembers !

  • He'll never tell. He won't be paid if it gets out.

  • There is nothing to tell. Nothing wrong was done. The President has the full authority to ask these people to resign for whatever reason.

  • Troll.
