While there are of course people who do nothing but smoke marijuana and sit around, that is not true of every user of substance. Furthermore, why does O'Reilly single out those who smoke, when alcohol use is, in my and many others' opinion, much more harmful to people than marijuana use. A person who's high on marijuana isn't likely to go around killing people in car accidents or beating up family and friends out of anger, but those are two of the most publicized negative effects of alcohol.
