  • i think they do, that'd be awesome for ya to see the mines out here

  • i was in san deigo/baja watching the baja 1000 with all german motorsport so i reckon it would be around 12 months before i could come over to your mines as i would love to come and see these awesome machines at work,as there is no longer anythink of this size in the uk..

  • wow, that's really shitty, sorry for your loss

  • we have a p&h 2300 at RNMC a copper mine near Ely, Nevada my friend named gary who was a welder for crew 2 was killed along with a felow employee when a weld holding the bucket open failed and the bucket cloced on them. the other employee was killed instantly. while it took gary an hour and fifteen minutes to bleed to death because the bucket itself was holding him together sad story.

  • I'll tell you what, he looks a very slick operator:)

  • yeah he's pretty good at workin that dragline cut

  • Whats the dragline in the background?

  • ya know, i'm not exactly sure..i think it's a BE but not sure

  • The mast hints that it is a Marion of some sort, probably a 8200. Is that a Bucyrus shovel on the right?

  • yes that's a small BE shovel on the right, and the dragline is a BE 2570 (i think)

  • You're correct about the dragline. It is an older boom design of the 2570, before they changed to the stronger trapezoidal boom.

  • yep, it was originally layin in a scrap pile, and the mine bought it, rebuilt it and put it into service

  • Who previously owned this dragline? I assumed that it was parked by another company and Jacobs Ranch bought and refurb'd it when it was moved to the current site. There is a Peabody 2570 at the Rear Run site in SW Indiana with an uncertain future.

  • it was actually at a mine owned by the same company, at the Antelope Mine, and i was told it was the company that decided to refurb and move it to Jacobs

  • Awesome video 5*****

  • Thank you very much
