  • :) makes me think of my baby if hes going through that rhythm, motion and sound, Nurturing.. sigh:( ill see you soon )

  • 3 people are colorblind :/

  • I wish Pink Floyd played throughout my life, because I feel like what littleboeep said, I feel like I'm missing out on so many good Floyd songs, like I've never even heard of this song, clicked it, love it.

  • A poor version. It doesn't even sound like Floyd The best and vastly superiort PF version is here

    watch?v=HKRL6TyRToE

  • i love jennique

  • vocal is so weak...gilmour is the best

  • @0652411 What do you mean? It is david singing....

  • Best song of the most underestimated album of Pink Floyd

  • @ashtavakra51 i think The Nile Song is actually the best on this album

  • I loved the songs from 1967 and up to 1979... Then the Pink Floyd just started to vanish... but not in my heart :P

  • so Beautiful..I love this album and obscured by clouds.Pink Floyd were mega stars before darkside of the moon.It just took darkside to be heard in the states..wow..who is this new band, lol, they've got almost 4 albums before this,You must of been asleep

  • @vivisect1945 I was but a wee babe, when they made this and many other awesome albums. Glad to have discovered pf in this decade/century........I am like a kid in a candy store, finding all this pre-wall awesome floyd.

  • @fuzpuppy Funny, I stopped buying and listening to their music after The Wall... Have you tried "The Valley", another Barbet Schroeder soundtrack from 1972?

  • @ThePierro2000 Is it good. I've checked out some songs on Youtube. Have you seen either movie? If I could get my hands on "More" I'd watch it, of coarse when the kids arn't home. :)

  • @fuzpuppy

    Netflix has it :)

  • @CIOlson08 where was netdicks when i =needed movies.....exactly

  • wonderful song.....

  • I love this song! More is a great album!

  • such a beautiful song. i wish there was more music like this... real music

  • this song eases my jangled nerves

  • at 58 i have listened to this perhaps 7000 times

  • So many people miss out on the best songs from certain bands...so sad...people think Zeppelin is Stairway...think the eagles are Hotel California...think gary numan is cars...but most of all think Floyd is the wall and dark side...what about lucifer sam, a pillow of winds, stay so sad.........

  • @littleboeep : I totally agree; radio plays top hits and that it; and you miss a lot of the gems of talented bands/songwriters.

  • @littleboeep the mainstream stuff. cant for get the early psychedelics.

  • @littleboeep I used to be suprised at how many PF "fans" knew nothing of them pre Darkside!! Their loss!!

  • @littleboeep sadly from what i see they dont think know that much... either comfortably numb or another brick...

  • @littleboeep Its like hidden history I guess, a forgotten treasure left for those who seek it.

  • @littleboeep Yeah, ppl think if they buy The gratest hits then they would know the band. But the real music from every band is sth different than the greatest hits...

  • your so correct......Ill blame the radio stations and billboard records. To say the gratefuldead only ever had one top ten hit in their career and the have more showa played then any band in history. That tells me those statistics are of one group,We dont need no stin king charts. Your right kudos

  • green is the colour and bird is the word.

  • Roger´s lyrics are interesting and not dull at all!

  • @MrDodstink Roger´s lyrics are not interesting, they are written by his pain and happiness.

  • bestsongever

  • I bought MORE back in 1998 and the lyrics/music are not much into psychedelic like UMMAGUMMA but it KILLZ! The vocals are handled by David and the lyrics by ROGER.

  • whos singing in this one??

  • @heyassmanx David.

  • @tteu123 thank you friend, it was really bothering me. He sounds soo young !!

  • @heyassmanx I know! I thought so too. But he's got the same voice in Fat Old Sun, too.

Green is the colour is my favourite song of all. Have a nice day!

  • apple sauce on my weiner

  • i was lying on my bed and listening this song.absolutely peace.

  • This sounds a lot like Neal Young!!

  • GreeN

  • beautiful under rated song.

  • WALLOP!

  • Exquisite - Bravo! I'd subscribe, but You Tube sent me this message: 'You have too many subscriptions compared to your number of subscribers.' (Quote.) I keep up with my subscriptions! When I contacted them, I was told to 'drop some of your subscriptions, and then you can add new ones'. WTF? Anyway, thank you for posting this. It would have been posted to my favourites, otherwise. (They also think I have too many favourites.) Anal-retentive Nazi control freak nuns...

  • Goodbye dear SusyOne!

Heavy hung the canopy of blue

Shade my eyes and I can see you

White is the light that shines through the dress that you wore

She lay in the shadow of the wave

Hazy were the visions of her playing

Sunlight on her eyes but moonshine beat her blind every time

Green is the colour of her kind

Quickness of the eye deceives the mind

Many is the bond between the hopeful and the damned

  • Deze is voor Susan!

  • <3

pink floyd lives on in my heart

  • totally in love with this song.............it haunts my soul

  • Bellissimo

  • WHOOOOO!!! GREEN!!

  • Wow this is breath taking. Where can I find more hidden treasures of the age that I did not exist in? I'm sick of mainstream trash :(

  • MARIJJUUANNAAA

  • beatiful song!

  • Dear God, is it impossible for me to find a Pink Floyd album that I dislike? I'll admit 'The Final Cut' didn't hit me too much but damn I was expecting 'More' not to be so good for some reason but it is AWESOME!

  • @nokturnal5647

I hear you dude. Floyd is unique in that all of their albums are very cool and each in different ways. Check out Syd's solo albums. Very weird and quirky, he can barely speak on some tracks. But the songs stick in your head!

  • já neslyším

  • great !

  • GREEN is my color too ... thanks for remember all those days ... it sounds like distant ECHOES forever

    enjoy

    peace to everyone

  • Love the solo guitar and piano on this track.

A very underrated song amongst Floyd fans, I think.

  • Pink Floyd and ladies...two of the greatest things ever!

  • Enjoyed song and video VERY much. Too busy to comment in full must rush. Sorry!!!

Liked dogfool1960's comment and your response....

  • great song

  • did pink floyd ever do more psychedelic folky stuff like this, and grantchester meadows?

  • @BritishTokuFan Try out "Julia Dream". The production is a bit drenched in psychedelia, but it's definitely folk-influenced.

  • Good old vinyl :)

  • pinkfloyd!!!!! love this band....greatest creator of all the time

  • stupenda canzone

  • If you like Pink Floyd check out the music of Steven Wilson and Mikael Akerfeldt, you will not be disappointed.

  • GREAT song, very simple yet extraordinary.

  • One of my favorite songs of all time. Amazingly, few seem to know this song when I talk about it except for a select few (who invariably turn out to be my closest friends). For some reason they've always touched something very personal in my brain.

  • @StormPete wow, i agree thank you... i love this song alot and few and far between do. - kathy

  • pink floyd move my soul in ways i cannot describe

  • God (even though I do not believe in him) I love Pink Floyd.

  • It's very strange actually, but I really like EVERY song from Pink Floyd. It's almost too much to require from any band, but Pink Floyd is so good it's hard to fully understand it. I LOVE Pink Floyd from the bottom of my 22 year old Norwegian heart. Must their music for ever prevail! Send their wonderful music out in space and let's hope some kind of life form will find it and be able to play it.

  • call me crazy, but this is my favorite floyd song

  • Guess I'm crazy too, then ;)

  • why would we call ya crazy? beautiful song.

  • @106708 Mine too. The beauty of this song is that I can listen to it as many times as I want without getting tired of it.

  • This song makes me happy. I love Floyd

  • No need to be crazy! It is a wonderful song!!!! Peace!

  • Trying to decifer this amazing poetry. Can anyone help me out?

  • the one thing that i learned about listening to early floyd songs like this gem, is that they as a band, had a message! and after that, it is up to the person that listened, they had their own idea about what it means. what does it mean to you? that is what i think the message is all about! (what do you think)?

    let me know.

  • ah thats true. ill take a stab at it. Its about someone in despair pondering about a peaceful, happy place. He is (envious) of this concept that he is thinking of or envious over a person who has these things. But although these things may seem good, they are not (quickness of the eye decieves the mind). And the person who seems hopeful is not and does not want to be happy but wants to be miserable because he finds that its more rational that way. So the two are envious with each other.

  • Envy is the bond between the hopeful and the damned

  • I've just recently gotten into Floyd, about four or five months ago an now i'm obssessed with thier music. I believe it was best i waited til i was grown to listen to Floyd cuz now thier music echoes my childhood back towards me an inspires me through life...i love the flute or whatever it is in this song, i want the album.

  • Welcome my Friend, welcome to... the machine.

Try Seedfloyd: there 's loads of original concerts of the seventies.

Personally I love MORE and SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS LPs. I like Dave's jazzy way of singing in Green and Cymbaline. It's light

I was a girl who loved pink Floyd and now I am now a grown woman and got my son into pink floyd as anearly teen, he is now 28 !Thank god the world has David gilmour!

  • hi dogfool nice to meet you ,you are right it seemed not many of our female friends were Floyd fans ,haven't we been on a great journey .

  • @trichoone

    peace!

  • @trichoone When I went to see australian pink floyd with my dad there was a women in the crowd who went with them on tours all over the world

    Hippys are awesome!

I love my dad for bringing me up sourounded by floyd :)

17 years of age and listening to stuff thats been around for almost 40 years is quite rare :)

  • @moshtastic1993 I wouldn't call it rare exactly, my whole group of friends love the oldies, including myself. It just that we are less known because all the media shows is the fans of current artists and such. Take a look around and you will find that this music still lives on with lots of people. You will sometimes be surprised by the types of people ;)

  • love david

  • Thank god for THE Floyd, all of them! Including Syd, of course! These guys were/are real poets!

your are not alone! i am almost 55, I was into floyd since I was 13 and only God knows how that music means to me since then and now ...

    enjoy

peace to everyone 2 minuti fa

  • @dogfool1960 I got into them as a teen myself, brought the love to my own kids, now approaching their teens. Now proud to say my uncle is going to be touring with roger waters this year for the wall show. Thrilled to have such a close connection to the music that is such an important part of my life

  • @dogfool1960 Your son is lucky to have you as your mother. :)

  • @dogfool1960 I am 23. My first memory from childhood, the very first one, is Pink Floyd. This song has saved my day lots of times and not only my day... Thanks for Gilmour...

  • @dogfool1960 i agree. pink floyd is a remarkable band.. usually when a prominent band comes out of nowhere gettin attention, when the lead singer/guitar player leaves the band, the band dies. but with pink floyd, the passion, the creativity never left, it grew stronger. id love to see what would have happened if syd barrett's mental health had remained strong, im sure there would had been some amazing songs, but no one can deny gilmoure was pretty much like a guardian angel to the band.

  • Where'd this video come from? What a beautiful song!

  • Wow, this gives me the goosebumps

  • 100000000000000000000000000000000000000 out of 10

  • I think it's david

  • Thata David I think if god spoke or sang he would sound like david:->

  • kudos. thats a cool thing to say. I believe god would take that as a compliment.

  • Its david gilmour

  • It'd Gilmour, mate. One of the best fucking vocalists of the 20th century.

    david gilmour<3

  • i dont like how this album is less recognized. its really good. my favorite off the album is Ibiza Bar, but this song is great too.

  • I prefer his voice subdued and down to earth for this song. I can't listen to the whimsier versions

  • I love the visual effects great stuff. I love this era of Pink Floyd it gets too little attention. Chris

  • Gilmoure's voice is kind of sub par for me here.

The rest of the song is simply beautiful! I would challenge any of todays bands to make a mellow song as good as this!
