I wish Pink Floyd played throughout my life, because I feel like what littleboeep said, I feel like I'm missing out on so many good Floyd songs, like I've never even heard of this song, clicked it, love it.
so Beautiful..I love this album and obscured by clouds.Pink Floyd were mega stars before darkside of the moon.It just took darkside to be heard in the states..wow..who is this new band, lol, they've got almost 4 albums before this,You must of been asleep
@vivisect1945 I was but a wee babe, when they made this and many other awesome albums. Glad to have discovered pf in this decade/century........I am like a kid in a candy store, finding all this pre-wall awesome floyd.
@fuzpuppy Funny, I stopped buying and listening to their music after The Wall... Have you tried "The Valley", another Barbet Schroeder soundtrack from 1972?
@ThePierro2000 Is it good. I've checked out some songs on Youtube. Have you seen either movie? If I could get my hands on "More" I'd watch it, of coarse when the kids arn't home. :)
So many people miss out on the best songs from certain bands...so sad...people think Zeppelin is Stairway...think the eagles are Hotel California...think gary numan is cars...but most of all think Floyd is the wall and dark side...what about lucifer sam, a pillow of winds, stay so sad.........
@littleboeep Yeah, ppl think if they buy The gratest hits then they would know the band. But the real music from every band is sth different than the greatest hits...
your so correct......Ill blame the radio stations and billboard records. To say the gratefuldead only ever had one top ten hit in their career and the have more showa played then any band in history. That tells me those statistics are of one group,We dont need no stin king charts. Your right kudos
I bought MORE back in 1998 and the lyrics/music are not much into psychedelic like UMMAGUMMA but it KILLZ! The vocals are handled by David and the lyrics by ROGER.

Dear God, is it impossible for me to find a Pink Floyd album that I dislike? I'll admit 'The Final Cut' didn't hit me too much but damn I was expecting 'More' not to be so good for some reason but it is AWESOME!
I hear you dude. Floyd is unique in that all of their albums are very cool and each in different ways. Check out Syd's solo albums. Very weird and quirky, he can barely speak on some tracks. But the songs stick in your head!
One of my favorite songs of all time. Amazingly, few seem to know this song when I talk about it except for a select few (who invariably turn out to be my closest friends). For some reason they've always touched something very personal in my brain.
It's very strange actually, but I really like EVERY song from Pink Floyd. It's almost too much to require from any band, but Pink Floyd is so good it's hard to fully understand it. I LOVE Pink Floyd from the bottom of my 22 year old Norwegian heart. Must their music for ever prevail! Send their wonderful music out in space and let's hope some kind of life form will find it and be able to play it.
the one thing that i learned about listening to early floyd songs like this gem, is that they as a band, had a message! and after that, it is up to the person that listened, they had their own idea about what it means. what does it mean to you? that is what i think the message is all about! (what do you think)?
ah thats true. ill take a stab at it. Its about someone in despair pondering about a peaceful, happy place. He is (envious) of this concept that he is thinking of or envious over a person who has these things. But although these things may seem good, they are not (quickness of the eye decieves the mind). And the person who seems hopeful is not and does not want to be happy but wants to be miserable because he finds that its more rational that way. So the two are envious with each other.
I've just recently gotten into Floyd, about four or five months ago an now i'm obssessed with thier music. I believe it was best i waited til i was grown to listen to Floyd cuz now thier music echoes my childhood back towards me an inspires me through life...i love the flute or whatever it is in this song, i want the album.
Well, I am 49 and I have been into floyd since I was12 and turned on to the usic from my older brother, I love David gilmour, I love the style he brought to Pink Floyd! @dogfool1960 I am 23. My first memory from childhood, the very first one, is Pink Floyd. This song has saved my day lots of times and not only my day... Thanks for Gilmour...
@dogfool1960 i agree. pink floyd is a remarkable band.. usually when a prominent band comes out of nowhere gettin attention, when the lead singer/guitar player leaves the band, the band dies. but with pink floyd, the passion, the creativity never left, it grew stronger. id love to see what would have happened if syd barrett's mental health had remained strong, im sure there would had been some amazing songs, but no one can deny gilmoure was pretty much like a guardian angel to the band.

Goodbye dear SusyOne!
Heavy hung the canopy of blue
Shade my eyes and I can see you
White is the light that shines through the dress that you wore
She lay in the shadow of the wave
Hazy were the visions of her playing
Sunlight on her eyes but moonshine beat her blind every time
Green is the colour of her kind
Quickness of the eye deceives the mind
Many is the bond between the hopeful and the damned
