My grandfather John Peel was on HMS Acasta when she went down. My mum was only two years old. She is in the video with the cream jacket. He was 27 years old. My mum is 73 and spent her whole life looking for the truth, I wil not stop looking. Rest in Peace to all
My grandfather AB Vincent McCullen was on HMS Acasta when she went down. I was glad to see this video and my only regret was not actually laying a wreath when I was in the Navy visiting Norway, we must have sailed over the spot where she went down. We as a nation all owe them for their courage and sacrifice they gave We Will Remember Them

My brother in law, James O'Pray of Prestwick, Scotland kindly sent me the URL of this most moving video.
To all of you who arranged this simply touching memorial ceremony and took part - my deepest and most heartfelt thanks, you are all quite extraordinary people.

hi Uncle Joe, thanks for sharing your experience with us, that was really touching.
Aunty Polly told me while you were up there about what happened those many years ago, it really saddened me what you and your family went through.
Ill show my parents this video as soon as they come over. Thanks from Laura xo
