Superb workmanship!! I wish the 8 inch Newtonian that I built back in 1968 would have looked this great---I would have never sold it. And yes--You can make your dreams come true from good technical books like the one you used. Keep watching the skies!!
Where did you find the blueprints for this construction? Did you make it from scratch, mirror, structure and blueprints? Or more important... Can I have the blueprints?
Even an 8" 203mm. Primary Mirror done at home, will take you almost 1 solid year to Parabolic grind then send it to an Optical Engineer to Re-Configure your Mirror, all more Expansive and Time Consuming that just Buying a Finished Parabolic Mirror made with Corundum Powder & better Lasers at Meade Instruments or Zambuto Instruments at Cheaper Prices!!!!
I gotta start learning metalworking. Wood is a great material but I can't do that with it. I'd be damn proud of that scope. Well done!

@shagrama Nope, no blue prints. Just read the book "How to Make A Telescope" by Jean Texereau, and all your wildest dreams will come true! :)

That came out nice! You have to be careful out in the desert at night. I can see a coyote took a bite out of your sleeve.
