Dual Boot Snow Leopard and Windows Seven EasyBCD

I wonder if I can install OSX on one drive and Win 7 on another and still use this EasyBCD program and it will find both and I can choose them? Otherwise I am a bit confused to get that working, I only find dual boot on the same harddrive and I wouldn't want that. Thanks for your help.

Hi. How can both windows and OSX be installed on the C drive as the Vista Boot loader suggests at 3:09? Doesn’t windows need to be on NTFS and Mac on its own native file system?

If OSX is installed on a non-windows compatible file system, how would one reference it in the boot loader, as it won’t have a drive letter?

Go to neosmart . net, click on Wiki over toward the upper right of the page. Then click on Easy BCD portal lower left of the page. This will give you the main documentation section. There is also a good support forum.

I believe Easy BCD looks for the first partition that has MacOS X on it. And it has to be a primary partition. I run Windows 7, two Ubuntu’s (LTS + new one) Fedora, and 2 XP’s (1 to back up the other). Haven’t got the hackintosh working yet. I’ve tested Windows 2000 as well but they are no video drivers for W-2 K. for my vid card.

first of all i understood nothing of this video. second, how the hell could you install leopard on c partition (as shown in video) when leopard cand only be installed on hfs and windows works on mbr ? this is bullshit.

I have 6 different OS’s installed and they all say they are on the C drive. That’s the way Easy BCD works. The video is simply showing how you add the multiboot menu item in Easy BCD for Mac OS X. the video is nothing to do with how you actually get Mac OS X on an Intel box.

@Regulus1777 yeah i know you`re right. i`ve managed to get the dual boot screen to work. i still don`t understand how easy bcd works when the path for mac osx is c:..but after all it does work. but still it would be good to know. but come on man, 6 os's ?? is that for showing off or what ?? what could you possibly do with that configuration ? :)) that`s sick.

@tino730 , this is my laptop , the HDD is IDE and it is expensive to upgrade , so 120GB split 60G for OSX and 60G for 7 . but I have a Acer Aspire One with a 500GB 250G for 7 and 250GB for 10.6.2 osx

What if you want to do it the other way around? I currently have Windows 7 and I don't want to reinstall it. So I first have Windows 7 and then I install Mac OS X and still dual boot. How do I do that?

@MrNuun If you want to know about that just go in control panel than restore that click that on the left there should be an option saying creat repair disk just use that to boot win7 after u install OSX

@chefedogang Its all good now find out what was stopping me from getting the prompt a while ago I made mistake and installed two vista boot mgr so when I booted i had the choice vista or vista so I went to msconfig and put the timer to 0 secs so i wouldn't see it but i thought after reformatting the drive that would have gone away but it stuck till now

Nice Video. I followed your process having installed both os. But when i reboot and got to the select os option, windows 7 works, but mac os x don't work. i keep getting bootloader error "Bootloader Path: \NST\nst_mac.mbr". Can you help? Many thanks
