My aunt was born with bronchitis and over the years she would get frequent colds and even had pneumonia several times. At age 50 she decided to get the pneumonia shot & unbelievably her overall health has improved! She is now age 56 and when she gets a cold her symptoms will only last 4-6 days, where as before the shot her symptoms would last 2-3 weeks. So in this case the pneumonia shot was very helpful to her....
So, if the pneumonia shot is recommended mainly for the elderly population over 65, why has my hospital now initiated a policy that EVERYONE who enters the hospital should be screened and given the shot??? I am highly alarmed at this. I WILL refuse to give it. My first tenant is to do no harm.
The shot sucks my arms still hurts from the allergic reaction even after almost a week.
