thats bull crap i win every match in kick boxing and this is not advaced srry to tell u but im a chick in an all boys kick boxing mach i win all the time i kick ass and im a profesinal so :P
That's the worst combo ever... Lol Push/stomp kick pushes the opposing person and then when you try to kick with a roundhouse you will miss... XD Lol wow
Whenever people train with bags and things its practiceing the move.....not the posistion...........They dont focus on if there groin and shit is open...and who the hell groin shots nowadays in professional?
Stomp kick? Sweep kick? Wtf is he talking about. Did he mean to say teep, or push kick, followed up with a round house to the body? Fuck I hate expert village. This combo doesn't even seem that great anyway. If I were to throw this combo I'd do lead leg teep kick, followed by rear leg round house to the body, would be a lot faster and make more sense.
Idiot.. Not everybody kicks according to your limitation. You can clearly see that his right foot steps towrds the outside of his center body line a split second before his left foot kicks, allowing him to have a firm and secure base of the weight by not having to pivot in the middle of the action.
... But I do admit, these videos, in no shape or form, contain advanced techniques.
I would say that this "stomp kick" more commonly and accurately known as a front kick, is being returned in a very dangerous fashion. By stepping straight back, you expose your centerline, groin, etc. and are completely open. Its better to train to step down after kicking (especially with the front leg), as you keep the distance closed and are not open to counters.
Actually when you stomp kick, you catch your enemy off guard because it's a fast kick without no need of thinking (lol) so after you stomp kick him in the groin, you do (more known) the round-house (sweep) kick
looking over my last post it could be interpreted as I'm saying not to learn multiple forms, which isn't what I am trying to say. What I am saying is you don't want pieces of TKD introduced to your MT training or visa versa. If you learn the forms side be side it's all good. Trying to mix the training together you miss out on the subtle details that make the fighting styles different and make each form unique.
Perfect example of why you always do some research about your instructor to see what there backgrounds are. The true expert instructors around can show proof of there technique along with where they learned it from. I also don't trust those who take and mix and match forms. Muay Thai shouldn't incorporate techniques from TKD anymore then forms of TKD incorporate forms from karate etc. Learn one form then adapt it or you'll never learn the subtleties of said form.
You have no idea what you're talking about do u? All roundkicks, lead-leg or rear leg, require a pivot, or as you call it, a "twist". Without this "twist"/pivot you risk tearing tendons and/or ligaments in your knee. Pivoting/"twisting" also gives your kick more power because your entire body-weight turns into the kick.
the second kick is called a sweep kick everywhere else in the world except in america!!! its nothing like a roundhouse kick!!!! also his gaurd is down because its a natural reaction to the sweep kick try it out!!! it doesnt really matter that his gaurd is down in a real fight those kicks would be alot faster! the proper name for the stomp kick is a thrust kick!!!
how can you sell a product, have a gym..... and not know how to technically name a kick........ might want to keep your hands up when using that advance move and kick would flow better if once you landed the front left push kick, to follow up with a right round house
Shouldn't an "expert" call it a front kick and a roundhouse kick, like the proper names are? A stomp is downwards to a grounded opponent, a sweep is around the ankle area.
And why is he lowering his guard when kicking? I wouldn't recommend that. I would happily take a roundhouse kick to the side if that meant I would get a free right hook to his chin.
And may I had your roundhouse kick stance is horrible....your supposed to spin on your toes not keep it solidly on the ground...Use your hips.....These expert village videos are mostly garbage
@FrenchThugz ur wrong man, hes using the techniques used in muay thai kicking, instead of pivoting your toes and spin on them you spin your whole foot before the kick letting you use your leg like a spring which gives you more hip power and speed
Ok i guess in level 9 kick boxing advancement?.............huh, ok ain't that what he did its called the front and round house kick,i looked in the dictionary "sweep" and i don't see ribs invole in sweeping
@mindfulcreation Well from where i know stomp go toward the ground not sideways. i been noticing a pattern with these expert village vids in martial art . sometimes they make terms or made up MA lingo that's not correct lol. like from another vid this kung fu guy say like quote "kung fu stylelist ' like he works in a beauty shop.
Yeah it is a roundhouse kick, god knows where this guy got the name from I heard a sweep kick is supposed to be aimed and just above the shin, but perhaps thats something different altogether o_0
In the UK Kickboxing Championships for Universities it must be below the bottom 1/3 half of the shin. Trying to find a demonstration of it on youtube...

you dont need to twist your foot on a roundhouse kick if you do it and you going off to fast you might end up fracturing your ankle
