Wow, I'm so switching to TOS ASAP. I have been doing thinkDesktop paper trading for a week, and have made a 30% increase on a $3,000 simulated account (=$4200 now!!, wish it was real money).
On one page (Funding, inside account services) it says opening funding deposit is $3,500, while on another page it says what you're saying, $2,000. I appreciate your quick answers, just hoping to clarify.
@swidd2 If I remember correctly, when I used the live help on the TOS site they told me that the initial deposit was $2,000. Good luck with your trading.
Thanks, I downloaded and I am playing around with the awesome software. It says data is delayed 20 minutes, under connection status. Is this as a result of being an unfunded account? Will it be real time (for free) if I fund it? Unfortunately I funded an account with etrade two days ago before I learned about thinkorswim. What to do.. what to do...

@swidd2 If you decide to fund a ThinkorSwim account the information on the program would be real time, for free.
