this movie encompassed known stars of its time (the freaking Raul Julia, no less), about a dozen scenarios around the world, a shitload of extras in a shitload of tanks and boats, and a speech that slaps the face of any regulations, plain and simple.

"The legend of chun-li" barely casts a few second-line actors (Neal McDonough ¬¬.... they should have aimed for Kenneth Brannagh if they wanted a real badass. Kristine Kreuk??? WTF??), two locations (USA/Japan) and the rest is shiny CGI.

Sorry to disagree but I have only seen this film once the whole way through. I found it incredibly painful to sit and watch. Any further attempts have me stopping it after Guile gets shot and suposidly killed.

To be honest, Bloodsport and kickboxer wipe the floor with this and they're both equally as cheezy.

StreetFighter the movie was a disappointment. bad storyline and the characters were not that convincing. The movie would have been much better if the story was like bloodsport and the quest where different fighters battle it out one on one and the use of special moves. I remember when i first heard about it and kept seeing posters and adverts i was so excited but after i saw it i was really disappointed i still am to this day.

The movie was based on the game and the game is about different fighters battling it out we didn't see any of that except some crappy acting and humor and when it came to fight scenes well they didn't look like that entertaining. Now if the movie was about different fighters challenging each other maybe a storyline almost like enter the dragon or bloodsport but modernised then it'd been fun.

The whole adapting videogames into movies only means they see what they can already do themselves so what's the point. The "Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie" has the best art, which is "the most" "street fighter" than all other animes, but the story of it sucks..

The best part of it is when Ryu is in India and meets Honda and Dhalsim..

The other animes of street fighter has good stories, but then the art sucks instead..

You can't be a Street Fighter fan, if you consider the animated movie bad, which is far from being true.

What about Ryu vs Sagat, Bison capturing Street Fighters to turn them into terrorists, Chun-li convicing Guile to cooperate, and their same grudge over Bison, Blanka vs Zangief, Vega trying to murder Chun-li, Ryu and Ken's friendship, Ryu and Ken vs Bison? All of it were loyal to the video game.

The other animes, SF II V and the US version, and the US movies have lame simple stories.
