  • at 4:28, is that an IPS Glow ?

  • Great overview info on this monitor. Thank you!

  • good the viewing angle is one of the reasons i want to upgrade from my 2 year old Samsung

  • Weak set up.

  • Seriously.....peaches and cream?? :-|

  • Great video. I just bought this monitor for a gift to a relative and i would like to know if my relative could find how much i pay for it. Is a billing with the monitor PRICE enclosed inside or outside the pack or just a invoice without a price?

  • Hi, where is the power button located?

  • Yes I agree, I have the Spyder 3 Pro and will be calibrating them after I open the second one, waiting till I have the time to do a box opening and a overview, probably this weekend.

  • dude r u selling the nec 20" screen on craigslist??

  • @iheartcomps Neither

  • Do u think its view range really worse than 2209wa's ? Even with H-IPS, which is suppose to be better than e-IPS ?

  • I mean viewing angles.

  • I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you since I've never taken a look at the 2209WA. I'm sure there are other vids on here that takes a look at that screen. They might be able to help you more than me.

  • @iheartcomps dude blunt racism

  • hey nemesis186, very nice video!

i need you help about this:

i have also the 20WGX2 , and i want to upgrade to U2410, my question is: the dell u2410 is better than nec in gaming & Color quality ?

are you satisfied from the dell ?

your answer help me a lot

    tnx

    ariel!

  • Thanks.

I honestly find it better than the NEC. The colour as better and the bigger screen size lets you enjoy full HD gaming. Again I find a small sacrifice in the input lag is worth the gain you get from the quality in every other aspect of this screen but thats my personal preference. But overall the U2410 is definitely a step up from the 20WMGX2. But i do miss that remote...

  • @nemesis186 I own both if these monitors, and I am very satisfied with the 2X U2410's , however I will disagree with you, I think the NEC's is a better monitor, and if NEC would sell a 24" with the same specs I would but 3 without even second guessing myself. If you have time check out my vid on the U2410.

    Cheers

  • tnx !

do i have any choice ?

i need 24 inch for gaming with IPS panel

i hope that the U2410 dont disappoint me -

after 3 years with NEC 20WGX2

  • I think you will be satisfied with the Dell U2410's. I have done a ton of research and right now this is the best 24" monitor in it's price range. It even out performs HP who also has a so/so IPS monitor. Now if money is not an issue then I would look at a coule of other monitors the Hp DreamColor LP2480zx and the NEC LCD2490WUXi2 monitors.

    Good Luck

  • Nice vid. I agree with you that the NEC's offer better displays. However at the time the 24" that NEC offered with 1920x1200 was more than 2x the price of what the U2410 was & had minimal inputs which did not meet my specific needs. If money was not an issue I would have gone for the NEC & bought a switcher. However there was an improvement after using a color calibrator on the U2410. Overall considering price & options I still believe the U2410 belongs up there, just needs to be calibrated.

  • @nemesis186 How do you calibrate it ? Is calibration by software is good enough or do I need some hardware ? Also does IPS glow is still noticable after calibration ?

  • @shadow6260 The U2410 is not as good as the NEC 20WGX2, as I own both of these monitors. The U2410's are great but IMO the NEC 20" is fantastic even after 3 years of owning it. Just bought 2 U2410's and I am very satisfied with them. Check out my vid I compare the U2410 to a couple TN panels.

    Cheers

  • nice setup man

whats gaming on this monitor like?

whats the rest of your system

  • The rest of my rig isn't too fancy. Just an old 2.2ghz amd desktop for some PC work and a macbook pro fo my video editing and ofcourse the PS3 for gaming, all plugged into the screen.

  • As for gaming, again I just find the colour range even better on this than my old NEC which was also an IPS screen. The specs show that it has a slightly higher input lag compared with the TN panels but IMO its too small of a difference to notice unless you do a side by side comparison but then again the colour reproduction on this is superior to most TN panels. It all depends on your preference i guess...
