  • at least they went back to old school gun barrels with this movie. I hope they never change this. I know times are changing but this is a constant that should be maintained. Casino Royal was a good movie but this one was terrible.

  • Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson haven't got a clue.

    Idiots both.

Harry and Albert must be spinning in their graves.

  • There was an excellent article in Empire magazine a few months ago (I'm sure if you look it up on-line, you' find it) that suggested the reason Dalton was unpopular with his grim and gritty Bond was he was simply ahead of his time in the portrayal as now the grim and gritty Bond is loved as played by Craig. If I am not mistaken, the producers suggested the reason the gunbarrel was at the end of the film was because Bond finally became the Bond we know via the catharsis of the two films.

  • That was the most half assed thing I've ever seen.

  • i kind of notice something ever since after Dalton Brosnan and Craig both sort of copy styles like i was saying before we need to have an original bond next time when craig is finished i think that guy from avatar could possibly be the next james bond. When i say copy i mean Brosnan was a lot like Moore and Craig is a lot like Dalton im not saying their bad just they need their own style. People are stuck in the past

  • i definately agree on pierce brosnan being similiar to roger more he was always funny. But id say Craig reminds me a lot like timothy dalton he has that certain darkness and sadness and toughness that timothy dalton had.

  • @decimatedremains Exactly! As much as I respect Connery, Moore and Brosnan, Dalton and Craig are the best Bonds b/c their as badass as the character is in the books. Although Dalton is a little more superior.

  • I wanted so much music that's there in mp3.

    Add ai no youtube.

    Thank you.

  • the masons, huh,,

well, you must of thought i like being poisoned at parsec intermodel. in calgary.

really, you have some authority there huh. fuck your turf wars. and fuck your ticket.

h1n1= cop=swine= truth really does kill dont it. i like those messages i am getting, organized warnings. well, you already knew what i was going to say,huh

keep your organization alittle more organized. remember its all about the money. love, kill for it,,

  • I think the Gunbarrel at the end was right for the picture. I'm sure now that we have established the early character and the Gunbarrel , it will most likely be at front for the next movie.

  • Personally I like the fact that they're shaking things up with the Bond formula. Having the gunbarrel sequence at the end of the movie was the same as not showing the actual title until the end of Batman Begins, it left you with a sense that this was definative, i.e. nothing can be more awesome than what you just saw. Putting it at the beginning feels like... "jumping the gun."

  • yeah.. the gunbarrel is at the end of the movie

this has just been moved 2 the front you fucking dikchead

  • my movie never did the gunbarrel just the theme song and the rest of the move.

  • I miss Sean Connery, and M as a male.

  • this is heaps good

  • I believe now that they're done with the Vesper story they have free room to bring Bond back closer to the way we originally know him in Bond 23.

  • That was really cool! I wish it had started that way... hopefully it will in Bond 23!

  • me too. if they do so in bond 23, CR and Qos will be so different from the rest.

  • absolutely great...haha....i like craig as 007...he describes the true bond...

  • i miss pierce brosnan in 007 role...

now craig is very bored and serious..

pierce is fun, and very good actor in 007

    remember goldeneye.. :D

    good memories! : D

  • yeah, daniel creig is always bored and dim, but pierce always had fun with it, like in Tomorow Never Dies.

  • Same here, The new films are not sauve and they have no gadgets, yh NO GADGETS!! and also no Q and moneypenny....

  • Daniel Craig could beat the shit out of Pierce

  • the craig bonds are far more mature and complex than the brosnan bonds, Brosnan only did really well in Goldeneye... his others were forgettable and dull but fun to watch

  • Brosnan always seemed a bit more like Moore and Craig seems a bit more like Connery.

  • Yeah , it's a shame . Brosnan made a terriffic 90's Bond . The movie after Goldeneye just did'nt seem to be as good of a fit.

  • I think like you did in 0:42 looks VERY great!

I would have hoped they did THIS in the real movie instead...But whatever they surely just didn´t thought about this kind of gunbarrel.

Maybe the next will be better

  • That Is Absolutly Fantastic!

    Good Job.

  • this bond movie had nothing what makes a movie a bond movie (besides the women). gadgets, q, moneypenny, a gunbarrel in the beginning. i hope they fix that.

  • guess that goes for casino royale

  • I was disappointed about the gunbarrel not being at the beginning too, but it kind of makes sense because Quantum of Solace is a direct sequel to Casino Royale so it's sort of the same story.

  • Good job,

but I still like how they did it in the movie.

And by the way I thought the movie was good too lol

  • you know i actualy thought this was a good movie but not a james bond movie

i think with the right directing this could have been alot better

    still awesome though

  • This Is How It Should've Been Done

  • YES.

  • i like this way better!

  • very good

  • this would have made abetter title. at least better than the music.

  • get sir roger moore back in there, with lasers and spacecraft!

  • This isnt the title sequence

the title sequence is the bit you know... with the "titles"

    ......

  • I wish it came out this way instead, but I understand them putting it at the end just to change things up a bit. Hopefully, in Craig's next Bond adventure, the gunbarrel will start the movie off as it should.

  • If the next Bond continues where Quantum left off then I have a feeling it won't start off with the gun barrel since Quantum ended with it. I think they had the gun barrel at the end of Quantum to show that it's really the beginning. Bond got his angst out of the way, now it's time for him to get to work.

  • It's a nice tradition to have it in there ... but I don't think they need to be a slave to it. I like the way they are mixing it up a bit.

Throughout time there will always be people who can't handle change. I am VERY glad they have updated BOND with the last few movies. I liked Brosnan as Bond, but come on - the four movies he was in were terrible. The world is not enough was absolutely ridiculous ... and Die another day started off really good, but then descended into complete nonsense.

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • my friend you are a fucking asshole, really ª!!

  • your're in idiot. thats one of my favorite parts of the James Bond movies

  • Good idea for the opening.

  • naw, thts just crap

  • And Moneypenny in the next one please!

  • Excellent, that's the way they should put the gunbarrel in first place.

  • Many people have to understand that these two James Bond movies are different from the others, because Bond is different. He was a cold operative in the first, and in Quantum of Solace, he is trying to get vengance. But now that he got his vengance, I'm sure the future Bond films will have Q, gadgets, and a more "Bond feel."

  • it was a good movie but it needs more of a james bond feel then just a action movie called james bond

  • ""destroy or hurt minoritys in europe?? what the fuck?? agree on the gunbarrel sequence needing to be put in the BEGINNING of the movie thank you.

  • any 1 else think that where this vid ends would be the perfect moment for the bond theme to kick in and really bring this action sequence up a whole other notch

  • Agreed. Bond 23 needs much more Bond theme! Arnold did it with TND, TWINE and DAD loads!

  • Sounds like a great movie. But couldn't the filmakers do one simple thing such as putting the gunbarrel at the beginning. Gee. I understand the idea of a reboot. But what are the going to do next, change Bonds number to 005?

  • jajajja good one, 005 in quantum of solace

  • Bond will be used to show delight and courtesy to his enemies since they are so sophisticated as the organization: Quantum. Bond must be at his level to finish them and not to get involved in international troubles. Finally, there is a relation between Camille and Bond that still has not been solved.

  • RECOMMENDATIONS OF BOND 23 (CAUTION: IT CONTAINS SPOILERS OF QUANTUM OF SOLACE)

I think that the Bond 23 must begin with the sequence of the traditional gunbarrel. And James Bond must face new enemies who could destroy or hurt minorities of Europe.

  • There's an irregular cut in the music. It needs more work, and the gunbarrel shouldn't end with the title, if it's going to be at the beginning.

  • Actually I disagree with Newsfop - I think it works very well with the title in this case and going right into the first scene. There's a little jump in the music but I thought it was well done. Not intending to suggest a comment about the theme song (which I actually liked) but if Bond were to ever go the "no credits" route of most other movies, this is how I could see it working.

  • Yes they should have put it at the beginning. As much I loved it to see the gunbarrel on the big screen, it just doesn't work at the end!

  • YES! A LOT BETTER!!!!

  • the next film just needs to be a classic bond again. i think this one should have been more like licence to kill. anyway in the next film there needs to be: Q, gadgets(not guns on cars), the bond theme tune, gunbarrel sequence at the beggining, and less fucking advertising. thank yo and good night.

  • thats so much better. what were the maker thinking when they just left out the gunbarrel sequence?

  • thats class ,the film should of been mad elyk that from the start anyway!!!

  • Doesn't anyone get why it was at the end, it made perfect scense to me. In Casino Roayle it came a right after he earned his 007 status, wouldn't make scense to put it in the beggining, but even though Bond was 007, he wasn't yet James Bond the personality, that is what Quatum was all about James Bond finding that Bond personality that we know, so naturally we wouldn't have the classic gunbarrel unless he was truly Bond, James Bond.

  • Agreed. That's why I believe having it at the end of QoS was the best choice. It made so much of a bigger impact. I immediately thought "Bond is back for good"

  • i get it, but this looks a lot better.

what you have said is true, and i agree with it, but this makes opening follows the pattern of the other movies, which makes it more enjoyable

  • and ladies and gentlemen, that's how it SHOULD'VE BEEN

  • I too just got back from seeing it. It wasn't too bad, but I agree with one of the critics that was on tv earlier that these past two movies have benn less "Bondy" because there's no cool gadgets and the son-of-a-bitch doesn't say "Vodka Martini, Shaken, not stirred", he didn't even say "Bond....James Bond" in Quantum Of Solace. I stil liked the climax though with bond and Greene fighting with the fire and explosions in the background, good times.

  • that is definetly how it should have started, cua that was very damn good. very strange they put the gunbarrel at the end of the movie.

  • ya i just got back from seein it and we all agreed on that

  • Wow good job!

I also was very disappointed about QOS' gunbarrel at the end of the film. It really felt like 'Oh we forgot that bloody gunbarrel, hey John what about putting it at the end? Nobelprice!'

But afterwarts seeing CR and QOS as a whole, picture.. I think QOS did not had to start with a gunbarrel.. But next film, it has to! And please make the gunbarrel gymics like Brosnan's.. return the black/white barrel and change the blood.. QOS' blood was really poor..

  • Wow........this would so work as the intro for Quantum of Solace

  • Definitely feels better at the speed which it is here imo.

    Good work 5/5

  • I'm planning to do a fan edit of Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale to add the traditional gunbarrel. On Casino Royale, it will lead to the persuit scene in Africa, and take to the musical opening after Bond blows everything up.

  • I am very interested in this fan edit. Will you post it on the internet somwhere or something?

  • I might, but first I need a quality copy of QoS, so I can arrange the gunbarrel. I'll use the walk from QoS, and the gunbarrel-blood from Goldeneye.

  • I'm big on fan edits, I think they're fun. I did one of X-Men 3, using deleted scenes and created the opening to follow continuity like the other films with the Xavier voiceover and credits ending at the cerebro door and then going into the Jean's house scene.

I really wasn't a fan of the gun barrel at the end of the film nor the positioning of the theme song. I think doing an edit once the film is out on DVD will be interesting to see how it would have flowed if in the proper intro position.

  • i know a million people are gonna say this but...

THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN!!

    lol =P

  • Thats how it should have been... But instead, the actual gunbarrel is at the end.. Good job on slowing down Daniel Craig's fast walk in the gunbarrel..

  • Looks like the same MGM lion to me. Would be better if it was a United Artists logo :-)

  • So, that's the enhanced MGM logo at the beginning that my group was telling me about. Not bad.

  • That's not bad at all! I haven't seen the film yet, but as a self professed Bond-nut, I will be doing so soon! I think this works quite well!

Check out my channel for a poorly acted James Bond Parody if you like!
