Just wanted to say that I have mixed this play in on defense and it is amazing! Especially in 3rd and long situations where the QB had to give the receiver time to get upfield. I have another couple plays that create immediate pressure every time but I can't give em away. Great play though, and the opposing player will NEVER see it coming if it is mixed in well enough.

I've dominated players using the slants. All I would do against this D is send Mason on a Slant down the middle. You have nothing covering a slant. Your db would pick Mason up on the slant, therefor leaving Keller uncovered in the flat. Holmes would be set to block that last CB you have out on the right side.. Too easy man..

I'm more worried about runs (esp counter weakside audible) and slide protectors honestly. A lot of guys leave in 6 blockers, although that wouldn't beat an overload like this unless he slides it.
What I like about this look is that you don't necessarily have to be overload blitzing the right side, you could come from the left also.
With a little time, one can throw on this, but that would never be an easy prospect especially vs someone good w/ user coverage

I figured out that th announcers are very annoying and repetive. If I get a sack they talk about it for the next 6 plays even if the next play I get a pick 6, they will still talk about how my d-end was a cyclone comming after the QB.
@Mrmeganfox38 People do this shit in like under 2-3 seconds. It's ridiculous. People can run something called the Sugar scheme where they make like 5-6 adjustments pre-snap in under 2-3 seconds....and adjust from there if they have to.

And btw (i would throw a screen and its an easy 6)

The only ways I can think of off-hand to beat this are certain kinda of runs, slants (but only if the user coverage doesn't jump them!) and of course if you do get the end picked up one way or another, face throws.

Why do people always gotta say stupid stuff!? There's ALWAYS going to be a offense to the perfect defense. It's not ment to shut down the offense just keep the players covered long enough til the line can get the sack or hurry the throw.
That play you set up will get picked apart by short pass plays time and time again. You've got cover 3 (badly set up at that), with your OLB and a DE providing short zone coverage, but REALLY wide short coverage, from a 5-2 (not having your best players out there). Also, before the sack, LB, Y, B, and possibly A were all ready to catch a pass with relative ease.
if you block both backs, your setting your self up for curl routes and deep streaks one on one, online that wouldnt go in your favor but its a good combo tho, can it stop the run?
Wack. A spread offense eats shit like this for lunch. I always hot route a receiver to each of the flats on every play. Very beatable. The line backers going onto the flats come on a slanted motion giving ppl like me just enough time to feast. If u get there before I make that throw then my rb will pick up ur blitz n I step up in pocket n drill u in a slant up the middle. I can keep going too but I have better defensive schemes to analyze so ill leave it at that :)

how do you change the coverage of a single DB? like for instance say if i wanted to send a CB in on the blitz and have a safety of linebacker pick up the coverage?
Way too easy to see pressure is coming from the right side. Slide protection to pick up that and you should always have a receiver running up the seam to take advantage of blitzing LBs like in the case of this play. If you want to make it better you need to user the FS and play a Tampa 2 deep zone with him the way an MLB would in Tampa 2. Your short middle is way too open and lots of people look to that part of the field since it's easiest to read after the snap.
If u look carefully the tight end is open and has 2 blockers in front of him if u get it out quick but a screen play will tear that shit apart I know I had a guy to the same thing to me online and seriously who is gonna give u that much time to adjust that stuff before the ball snaps

@Mrmeganfox38 It's probably easier to set up vs no huddle than huddle + hurry unless the previous play was a very short gain, which isn't ideal.
The only ways I can think of off-hand to beat this are certain kinda of runs, slants (but only if the user coverage doesn't jump them!) and of course if you do get the end picked up one way or another, face throws.

That play you set up will get picked apart by short pass plays time and time again. You've got cover 3 (badly set up at that), with your OLB and a DE providing short zone coverage, but REALLY wide short coverage, from a 5-2 (not having your best players out there). Also, before the sack, LB, Y, B, and possibly A were all ready to catch a pass with relative ease.

When the play starts throw it to "Y" and the "WR" will block that safety and that's an easy 1st down or more.

Wack. A spread offense eats shit like this for lunch. I always hot route a receiver to each of the flats on every play. Very beatable. The line backers going onto the flats come on a slanted motion giving ppl like me just enough time to feast. If u get there before I make that throw then my rb will pick up ur blitz n I step up in pocket n drill u in a slant up the middle. I can keep going too but I have better defensive schemes to analyze so ill leave it at that :)

This is simply an overload blitz....it will work maybe 35% of the time. You will either get a sack or give up a huge play. Stupid.

Way too easy to see pressure is coming from the right side. Slide protection to pick up that and you should always have a receiver running up the seam to take advantage of blitzing LBs like in the case of this play. If you want to make it better you need to user the FS and play a Tampa 2 deep zone with him the way an MLB would in Tampa 2. Your short middle is way too open and lots of people look to that part of the field since it's easiest to read after the snap.

If u look carefully the tight end is open and has 2 blockers in front of him if u get it out quick but a screen play will tear that shit apart I know I had a guy to the same thing to me online and seriously who is gonna give u that much time to adjust that stuff before the ball snaps

I would have easily made that pass because the first guy I always look at is the RB because it is a high percentage pass that can go for a big gain.
You got pressure pretty fast but I don't take that long before I throw the ball.
