Yeah, surprisingly enough, the most difficult ones in this book to play are the ones from the early Baroque era (ergo 16th Century). They still have that open 5th character to them that was carried over from the Renaissance.
I tend to separate them into categories because I have a hard time picking just one as an overall favorite.
J.S. Bach tends to win in the keyboard music and lute/guitar music department, but orchestral works I tend to go back and forth between Vivaldi and Purcell. One of the pieces that I'll be doing for Part 6 is by Purcell.

Who's your favorite from the Baroque ? I really got into Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" @ the beginning.

Can't go wrong with Bach. Purcell is a fine choice as well. Wow... you got some great taste my man. I'll be waiting for the next installment.
