nevermind my problem was that I was still holding Z when I hit the down pad.

Just got the game and Ive been trying to do the finishers for hours now and I just can't do it. I do exactly what u say: I face them standing up, hold z, shake the wii remote, get them in the grab and then when I press down on the pad it puts them in a submission move. If I can't do the finishers then I don't want the game. Please help me.

hahaha. I've read the manual. I did everything right with the finisher except for the moving it forwards. So that's why i couldn't pull it off. Thanks man. You've made a lot of matches much easier for me xD.
