...Technically Elizabeth Bathory did have a husband. But she was actually a Hungarian countess...and how they ended the movie kinda left room for a sequel if they wanted...I mean, when the video store guy outs in the game...and we don't actually know if she did indeed burn to death, if she fell down some stairs or something, that may have been enough to put out the fire, who knows?

If you notice in the end.. The game is realized. Every time they read the prayer in the beginning of the game.. Her ghost is released. They killed her so now she can't kill them. But that doesn't mean she can't kill others who read her prayer.

Or at least that's what I came up with from watching it.
