  • do you ever have a problem with the oil getting into the weave? i put the oil directly on my scalp but overnight while its wrapped it gets in to the weave and my weave starts to look thin and weighed down about 2 days after i wash it. its so annoying because my scalp itches so bad with the braids (its very dry and flaky) and i need to oil it a lot.

  • hey nice video was very helpful..especially i could do this with my hair braids

  • thanx fo the video darling

  • very helpful

  • When u blow dry it, do you take your time letting the braids dry so u know that your real hair is dry?

  • That was really helpful, because I don't take care of my hair at all when I have a sew in. But I'm trying to do better. Thanks for the how to

  • how many inches is that?

  • so do u allow ur braids to air dry after washing or do u go in between each section with the blow dryer? (whn i oiled my scalp w/ a sewin the hair i used became oily also, how do u avoid this b/c i used the same app tip u do, also do u feel like the s curl spray is a growth protectant or jus a moisturizer? thanks:)

    this is wierd

  • this vid was so helpful! quick ques...how long do u keep ur sew in?

  • usually 2 months at a time

  • your hair loosk great!! very helpful i wish i had this when iused to my sew ins all the time. I would take it out, wash the tracks seperate and then have it put back in. I'll keep this in mind next time. Thanks!!

  • Thanks so much very very helpful!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it look nice, is it 14 in

  • 10 inch in back 12 in front

  • Thanks for this view. Just got my 1st weave for my hair journey so I am trying to do the right things now. I hope my wash comes out as good as yours.

  • how do you dry the braids?

  • I spray a heat protectant on them and blwo dry them as best as possible and let it air dry therest of the way. As for the weave I fully blow dry it.

  • what about the mold?

  • lol a donut...

  • how often do u recommend sum1 washes their sew in?

  • 1 every 2-3 wks

  • OMG your hair looks sooooooo good after washing it!! I'm also scared to try washing my sew in, but I know I'll probably need to do somethin to it. How would Garnier Fructis shampoo & conditioner work on weave?

  • wow, im toooo scared to try this cause i dont wana mess up my weave :( but your reallly amazing with your weave knowledge thanks for spreading it to the rest of us lol :)

  • Hey dear

Creme of nature s very good product. But had BIG knots this time after i took my sew-in out . Noticed the braids underneath would loosen and tangle into eachother. Never stay with a weave longer than 6weeks. I dont understand, guess washing my hair underneath doesnt work for me although liked the feeling. So my hair was breaking. I just added s-curl to my regimen. Am going to use it every two days spray on my braids.

What you recommend? cuz the hair is longer but so THIN.

  • Send me private msg hun. Sorry u experienced this.

  • @jo2050 this happen to me.i guess it was because you washing your hair over a certain amount of timeand you not able to actually comb the hair out after thts why it gets matted up..I said never again.

  • OH.....MY.....GOD...... is saw a michael jackson ghost in the background.. THat us super super cool..

I love michael jackson. ur hair is awesome and i love the color of it too.

  • yea well i also did this and as i was detangling my reall ahir to was it i notcied my hair h\commin out, but wen i was washing it chunks n knot of MY REAL HAIR was comming out. last time ill ever do this. and trust me i am the weave queen n usually ill jus wash my hair, but i wanted to try your meathod, never again will i though. guess everyones hair jus aint the same...

  • Sorry it didnt work out for you mama. You are right.. every mehod wont work for every one...

  • yea, but started to follow ur regime and i noticed a real difference in my hair, usin the creme of nature shampoo and conditioner, gonna try aphogee next, ur a real insperation, keep ths vids commin

  • yea this does take time cuz i do the same thing with my sew in

  • hey dear,

just took out my sew-in. I used that same bottle of doo groo to put my moisure in it so i could easily apply it on braids and scalp (do weekly wash-cond). Guess what, i ended up having a couple of tiny knots in my hair when i took the weave out (first time ever happened to me) Thought i had to cut it but thank god i managed to save the max. of my hair. Still had breakage though...

Have u ever experienced anything like that?

    god bless

  • No, I thoroughly detangle before i was my hair. I spray s curl on my braids the night before you soften it. did you ave the knots before or after you washed . And how long did you keep th sew in in?

  • so how often do you seal &&+ moisturize

  • atleast one a week with sew in

  • what brand of hair did you use? was it human hair? I've washed sew-ins before and maybe i had the wrong technique but after blow drying and flat ironing the hair gets very tangled and thick at the ends and only looks good the one day i washed it. i used milky way when i had mine in.

  • Yes it was human : bijoux beauty elements new yaki

  • You should try transfering you s-curl into an applicator bottle. The ones used for coloring hair. They're only $1.00 and so much easier than spraying each braid:^)

  • great idea.. i will remember that

  • Love ya look girl! Question: How long do you keep your weave in for?

  • no longer than 2 monts

  • thank you because I neglected my hair and it came out bad. its already damaged and come out after its braided and I dont treat my hair in sew in

  • yw hun:-)

  • how long do you keep the sew-in in if you wash it every 2 weeks??

  • NO LONGER THAN 2 MONTHS

  • Omg how did you get your real hair like that oh ill never have nice hair i give up..

  • great video

when i wash my hair when i have weave my natural hair always gets even puffier than it was before. what do you think i should do, to prevent this from happening

  • Looks really nice!

  • thnks!

  • hey what kind/brand of castor oil do you use in ur hair?

  • Its the walmart brand

  • how often do you wash your hair? and how often do you oil your scalp?

  • in a sew in every 2 weeks oil once a week

  • what brand of hair is that? I went to your blog and didnt' see it

  • beauty elements, new yaki

  • Do you cowash? How often? Do you flat iron your own hair to match the weave? How often? Thinking about getting my first weave soon.

  • i do not co wash. i did flat iron it to blend it well. every wash

  • Thanks! So do you end up battling an itchy scalp, assuming you wash this every two weeks? Do you usually notice damage when you take off the weave or is it usually stronger and healthier?

  • what is sew in hair

  • what type of hair is that♥

  • I do my own sew-ins and because of that my tracks are usually to loose to be able to wash. What are your thoughts on the shampoos that cleanse your hair without water? For example the ones people with dread locks use?

  • I have no knowledge of that type of shampoo. I would research it more and if it seems legit give it a try

  • wait, u have a sew in in this vid???

  • Don't ur tracks be loose when uwash ur hair? And if they are what do u do when ur tracks are loose?

  • I have a friend that can tighten it for me. you can buy thread and needle at a beauty supply store. i would do it myself but i havet mastered it yet.

  • oh ok. I got another question, how do u get ur hair to have that bounce even with neck length hair? I want my hair to have bounce but it doesn't.

  • Does the castor oil soften new growth?

  • lol sorta. For me its more for thickness. But if you moisturize your roots you will def see a difference

  • I love that you show the importance of caring & still moisturizing the scalp & hair while having a sew-in. Great video!!! :)

  • Really liked your vid I would like to kinow what braid design did your beautician used?

  • She braided them straight back. She has also done it in a circular design also. I find the straigt back is easier to take out-lol but both last pretty long

  • I agree. Thank You

  • Thanks so much for this video! I kinda knew this technique but it was great to see a visual.

  • great video!!!! How often do you wash your hair when you have a sew in or does it matter?

  • Every 2 to 3 weeks

  • I wanted to know if your beautician added fake hair to your hair while french braiding it? Ive had several sew-ins in the past, and 1 beautician would add fake hair to my french braids. She said it would stop my hair from breaking. The other said adding the fake hair is what causes breakage. I have never experienced breakage either way. Which techinique does your beautician use?

  • I always have her add braiding hair"fake hair" I had it done both ways I find it lasts longer with the synthetic hair added to braid it.

  • wow! can i do the same with synthetic braids?

  • Yeap!

  • This is an excellent video!!! What kinda of hair did you use?

  • Beauty elements bijoux new yaki . I believe the exact name is in my blog.:-)

  • Gurl you saved me. I have to wash my sew in right about now.
