  • I'd rather it be Glee than Kidz Bop.

  • Comment removed

  • who cares if glee brought me here. Good songs are good. Doesn't matter if you are guided to or not

  • Love it . I will always like the original better

  • LOL at the cough at @1:43

  • SHUT UP ABOUT GLEE!! WE GET IT YOU LIKE IT. BUT THIS AS THE TITLE CLEARLY SAYS IT'S WICKED MY DEARS.

  • I adore Kristen and Idina. And I don't really see why everyone has to compare them to Chris and Lea. IMO, Kristen and Idina did a much better job, but that's only because Lea is /not/ Elphaba like Idina is. In her own way, Lea was amazing, but she's NOT Elphie.

  • @aerohead03 you do know this isn't glee right?

  • Mr. Lienhard sent me here.

  • @naparstnica idina and kristen were the best glinda/elphaba and you are comparing a live performance to a pre recorded track. And many people knew about this show before glee and wouldnt compare it to glee. I love glee and wicked so much too

  • lea michele sounds better. can't say that for chris colfer. haha. but they're amazing performers, but their voices don't blend well together.

  • @aerohead03 I'd say both Chris and Lea sound better. Personally don't like Kristin's voice. About not blending you're talking about Chris and Lea or about Idina and Kristin? I suppose about the second duet :)

  • I cry, too. Every time. Especially when I see the play.

  • i cry every time i hear this......

  • Two years ago, I was part of a five-week program teaching acting, singng and dancing to a group of developmentally disabled adults and teens. The last day, the staff and volunteers sang this to the actors to let them know how we felt about them and how much the experience had changed all of our lives. There was literally not a dry eye in the room, and thinking about still brings me to tears.

  • this song has put into prespective why i am still friends with my best friend...we get into constant fights but bc i knew her i have been changed for good

  • Me and my friend sang this at our Leavers service, it was the first song we did as a duet three years ago and we've been mega close ever since. It kinda became our anthem, and everyone cried when we sang it at the assembly. It's just such a perfect song. I would love it if you could take a listen. Serach Molly Austen and Esme Kendrick For Good.

  • :) Love this song

  • I get goose bumps every time I hear this! True Broadway Icons! Outstanding show & Song! Xo

  • Voices are too squeaky!

  • @sarahgfan24 It's because they are getting emotional. Kristin was actually crying. That wasn't acting.

  • best show everrrr

  • when i went to london we got to see Wicked and it was amazing. It was my first time seeing it and now i can't wait to see it again!

  • Is Kristin really crying?

  • @InvaderZayna of course not, just playing her part well. If you have ever acted, you would know :3

  • @silverwolf5145 ... Thats not very nice to say. Besides she could very well be crying.

  • @MissJacAustralia I agree, I cry just watching this scene

  • @silverwolf5145 She actually really cried most of the shows. She isn't acting; she actually feels for Idina and she cries. She doesn't cry on every recording.

  • This makes me sad but also happy..strange thing..I love it.

  • STOP RECORDING IN THE THEATRE, IF YOU REALLY LOVED THIS SHOW, YOU DEFINITELY WOULD NOT BE DOING THIS!!

  • I Hate The Coughing In The Back Ground!!!!

  • This song gives me chills every time

  • excuse me i need to go kill nine people.

  • i wish idina and kristin were still performing in this because im going to see this in new york....to bad there not doing it anymore :(

  • 9 people dont no wat the're talkin bout and cant love.there is something wrong with their heart's. the 845 of you are all cool

  • it must have been cool for them to be reunited on glee- they were on the set at the same time, right?

  • if these two do not play the parts for the movie version that is going to be not very good.

  • @zikasad1 r they making a movie version???

  • @tigerluver18 I have heard that for 2012 release date....

  • damn i love wicked

  • Amazing. I'm almost crying.

  • I love this song so much! I had a go at singing it my self. Don't know if im any good, look on my channel and comment please? much appreciated :) x

  • I tear up every time <3

  • hi

  • thumbs up if GLEE didn't bring you here!

  • @janellevengeance naw tony hawk did.. wat u think did#?? hash tag begging for likes.. u sad child

  • KURT/RACHEL duet was awesome!

  • @benniuz nothing is better than idina and kristin!

  • I'm so sad I didn't get to see this pair..they're amazing and especially Idina with her gaunt cheeks, distinctive mouth and dark hair just looks perfect for the part!

  • this song is so beautiful but it always makes me sad. we usually sing this song at the end of every school year and it fits the mood perfectly, expecially when you're graduating. Talking about the past and the people who have affected us and how the helped make the person that we are and will be. Its just bitter sweet. Beautiful none the less

  • idina idina idina idina idina idina idina idina idina <3

  • 633 likes to 9 dislikes.. thats a win for us theatre geeks! :D

  • 9 people haven't met someone who changed them for the better ....

  • Im going to see wicked on wednessday, i cnt explain how excited i amxxx

  • I cry every time i hear this song

  • i love idina and kristin. my friend and i are actually singing poker face sung by idina and lea michele at a chorus event!!!:) i get to sing idina's part sooo excited

  • who ever has hit the dislike button then you are like totally wrong in the head!

  • I love idina and kristin but I also have to say last night teal and katie on broadway really hit it. Teal absolutely stole the show as elphaba. She really is giving her all in this role. If you haven't seen teal play as elphaba i strongly recommend you go!

  • WICKED IS AMAZING. the best broadway musical.

  • @llamaloveshertea88 one of. rent was pretty amazing too.

  • @TVBProductions true, I LOVE seasons of love when the chick hits the really high note it makes me get goosebumps :D

  • @llamaloveshertea88 I have to hit that high note in about 4 weeks! I'm pretty nervous about it hahah.

  • I'm singing this song for a choir concert :) very good song

  • @u9y8 :O me too

  • This sounds amazing!! Wicked has some of the most beautiful songs! This is one of my favorites, along with 'Defying Gravity' and 'No One Mourns The Wicked' :)

  • I LOVE THIS SONG :D they were the best people to sing it and were so good at it as well, no one can be better

  • The 8 people who disliked this song weren't changed for good

  • this song really means alot to me because the last time i seen my friend before she died we were singing this infront of our friends on her birthday x it always makes me cry x its so beautiful

  • 0:55 cof cof :)

  • Probably one of the best songs ever written

  • I think Mandy Gonzalez and Katie Rose Clarke are the best. I think people just like these two because they're the originals.

  • singing this 4 a concert

  • I love these two, the thing I dislike about Idina singing for good is when they both sing "and none of that seems to matter anymore" and there's that long note and Idina goes higher, it sounds very strained.

  • 8 people were changed for the worse

  • THEY ARE A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.

    Sooooooooooooooooooo

    very wonderful.*(:

  • At least 1/3 of the views on this video is me.

  • @iWATCHyours The rest is mine.

  • @iWATCHyours I am the others 2/3

  • They are artists. That is a fact. In that fact, I have tried so hard to except them as my favorites.. but I cant. My heart in this musical will always belong to TEAL WICKS and MEGAN HILTY. They are amazing. I just dont see what Kristin has on her..

  • @TheExotiiqua Being the original, more or less. People are usually very loyal to the first person they ever heard in the role and the people they have on the CD.

  • @TheExotiiqua I saw Wicked with different people in the roles as well, and I loved them. But I also see that Kristin and Idina were crucial ingredients in making those roles so indelible, and making the show the huge success it is - and enabling people like me, who don't live in NY, to see it in my own city. No one says they have to be your favorites - just a tip of the hat to these two for originating the roles and doing such wonderful jobs with them.

  • shes cute even when shes green. :D

  • hahahahaha they were both on Glee

  • @Lost23280 Dude (well, person), the person who made Wicked, Ryan Murphy, is the same one who made Glee. Course he's gonna use his two stars to rise Glee's fame

  • @shikadude95 ryan murphy did not make wicked....what are you smokin'? o.0

  • @itsmimeep ....

    evidently crack :|

i just realized how much i fail

  • MWAHAHAHAHA! I ACTUALLY WENT TO NEW YORK AND SAW THIS!

  • @Cirno0009 so so so jealous

  • For good means so much to me and to my girl friend... Everytime there is a miss understanding or doubt in our relationship the song cure all the pain and spring forth hope a new hope. We believe that man is inherently good. It is our nature. And a duty to nurture love. It reminds us of the journey we were able to traverse, challenges that we were able to overcome. To my best friend, my angel, my girl friend. I love you.

  • can i have the whole show?

  • i cried when i heard and saw this song

Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel they were made for these roles they are just perfect and the best singers ive heard

  • Have you noticed when you hit the like button on comments, they go green?!? LOL Just like this...

  • @rhioma24 hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha no da

  • @rhioma24 that totally just made my day! hahaha

  • i love these two SO much!!! <3 <3 <3 Idina and Kristin are so beautiful!

  • I love this song. I saw wicked last year on broadway and it wasn't really a song i remembered until I learn't it in singing, but now I love it!!!

  • in glee kristin should become friends with idina and then they sing this

  • @KillerMuffin121 I've heard rumors that their contracts state they will never appear together on the show (they really don't get along)

  • @eleraama i dont believe that.

  • @EtniesBoy13 They haven't gotten along since they were in Wicked together; it was only exacerbated by Idina winning the Tony that Kristin had also been nominated for.

  • @eleraama That's the biggest rumor about Wicked, but it's never been confirmed. Idina & Kristin have stated many times that they are super-close friends, but other rumors are that idina slapped her for real during the fight scene, and that she hurt kristin's neck. but i personally believe that all the rumors are false

  • @afroman473 Yeah I can't ever see Idina and Kristin being mean to each other. They are too nice.

  • @KillerMuffin121 would be a nice nod to wicked but wouldnt make sense to glee at all. it would be too much, i think.

  • this is the musical embodiment of nostalgia - despite the fact that it makes us feel that we wish we were back in a world that never truly existed, but maybe that's because they made us believe that their world truly did exist.

and i'm quite sure that this song stimulates nostalgia because i haven't even seen the musical, but i definitely want to see it.

  • i love how the pic is of the london show witch had neither of these two in XD

  • @lemminggal007 which pic are you talking about? They were all of the original two.

  • @tatorstevie on broadway kristen and idina were in it. in the west end it was different people. the pic on the video are the two from the west end

  • I was crying so much when I saw this, such a beautiful song, when I pass on, this is the song I want to be played at my funeral

  • Glinda reminds me of tawni from sonny with a chance. does anyone agree with me?

  • @fruitchtable yup

  • COUGH* COUGH*

Jesus Christ Grandpa get a cough drop!!

  • this is so genuine and beautiful. You cannot beat Idina and Kristin anywhere

  • I Love This Song (: I'm Singing It With My Best Friend For A Recital . <3 ANGELINA & TAYLOR BFF'S FOREVER. Makes Me Cry. :(

  • I Love This Song (: I'm Singing It With My Best Friend For A Recital . <3 ANGELINA & TAYLOR BFF'S FOREVER. Makes Me Cry. :(

  • 3:37 is my favorite part.

  • I dont mind wether theyre sapranos or altos or anything in between all i know is that theyre both amazing and I look up to both of them and can only hope that me and my alto voice (well, so they say tho i do get up there high) are going to be up on stage all in green one day:)

  • Kristen is a mezzo soprono and India is a mezzo which is only slightly lower. Sarah Brightman is a soprono.

  • Actually, Kirsten Chenoweth is a coloratura soprano, and Idina Menzel is a soprano.

Sarah Brightman is a coloratura soprano as well.

If you look at Kirsten's and Sarah's history, it will describe their vocal range. Which is far more than a mezzo, considering mezzo is inbetween soprano and alto. Where as a coloratura can sing all the way to the endo f the piano with rapid oscellation (aka vibrato). Idina I am not so sure, I don't follow her career as much as the other two.

  • Actually, Idina is a mezzo with belt, but Kristin is definitely a coloratura soprano-just listen to "No One Mourns the Wicked" and "Thank Goodness"! You have to be a soprano to sing like that!

  • @sailormoonrockss really idina is a soprano and she can sing elphaba wow

  • @bastiantotalhappy actually idina is a mezzo-soprano with a belt. the belt lets her to hit high notes and it becomes a bit of a virbrato but her regular voice is lower than Kristen's.

  • @Annabelle1283 i knew because a soprano cant belt like that someone said and i coulndt believe it ,thanks

  • @jonandrosie14oct04 sorry but kristin is a soprano one of the highest on she can come to the high g even brightman can hit it

  • A 1999 Tony Award winner and graduate of Oklahoma City University, Kristin Chenoweth is wonderful.

  • these two are the best! I wish I would have been able to see them..

can anyone tell me what voices they sing in? is elphie an alt and glinda soprano?

  • they're both Soprano although i *THINK* Elphaba is a Mezzo-soprano

  • oh really? :o I think she must though, cause she sings a little lower. I always thought elphaba's part was a little easier to sing. except for the high parts in defying gravity and stuff xD

  • @Disneydanny elphaba is sung by a mezzo who can belt, and glinda is a soprano usually.

  • @jerona elphie is a mezzo-soprano and galinda/glinda is soprano

  • WOW. this is amazing. major goosebumps! (:

  • 2:13 cough?

  • i cry everytime i hear this song! it is so beautifully performedd i love them (:

  • This was 4 days after I saw WICKED for the first time on my 30th birthday -- 11/6/03. I will ALWAYS remember that show for the rest of my life. I've seen it 4X since, with SJB, Eden and twice with Teal. All good shows, but none of them compare to the OBC show. SO GLAD my first time was with Idina & Krsitin. LOVE THEM! Thanks for posting this. ;-D

  • I wish I could I have seen them in action

  • Is this the last performance of kristin ? she is crying

  • when i went to see this i cryed when the girls started singing this song lol such a baby right lol

  • Nothing and no one can touch these two. That's just it. That's how it is and that's how it will be. Idina and Kristin take these roles and just turn them into works of art. Plain and simple.

  • @dallywinstonfan101 I think Kristin and Idina will forever be the only true Glinda and Elphaba for us all!! Nobody can beat them!!! :)

  • @dallywinstonfan101

I agree but the original cast of the German production would blow you away, especially their Elphaba. Somebody has put the entire album on youtube. It is called Wicked - Die Hexen von Oz. The song Defying Gravity = Frei und Schwerelos.

  • @dallywinstonfan101 I dont agree :) I say Rachel Tucker and Louise Dearman does just as good, if not better...

  • @dallywinstonfan101 first off, i agree with you. second your name amaze's mee (:

  • @dallywinstonfan101 first off, i agree with you. second your name amaze's mee (: the outsiders is amaziing

  • stupid man coughing during their beautiful song!! lol it really ruines the mood!

  • Lol I know!! Beautiful song!!! xx

  • so this was what 11 days after it opened?

  • Have seen "Wicked" at least a dozen times with several different casts but none can touch Idina and Kristen!!! Bravo ladies!

  • They're making a Wicked movie based on the musical :]

I think they're keeping original cast members. :]

I'm almost moved to tears... you can hear Kristi crying through it, it's so sad. D:

  • Hummpphh. Lots of the lines in her last show, werent complete, becuase she was too choked up. Yes she was crying throughout this whole song, but she was way more upset during her last show.

  • This is not Kristens (g(a)lindas) last night. If you listen to the ;ast show, the lines come out of their mouths differently. But these 2 did bring so much emotion into this song, truely magical!

  • Come out differently is an understatement... She freakin' cries throughout the whole song! It's gorgeous!

  • I saw Wicked on Broadway in March and recently saw it again in San Francisco and it was amazing both times. I really wanted to see it while it was in Seattle since I live near there but so it goes. It's such a fun show that I would recommend it to everyone!

  • I'm reading the book, Listening to the songs and buying the tickets for the last show in Sydney...We're traveling down from QLD to see it

  • I saw it in San Francisco about 10 days ago. I was so moved by this musical.

  • I saw it 9/9/09 OMG 9/9/09

  • I just saw Wicked for the first time last week. It was the greatest musical I've ever seen. So complete, compelling music. I was choked up during this scene. Especially when Elfeba says "it well maybe that we will never meet again in this lifetime". Good stuff.

  • Did you see it in Seattle last week or somewhere else? I saw it here in Seattle two days ago for the first time the day after I saw Wizard of Oz also for the first time. I LOVED this musical and this song at the end, i was crying SO HARD.

  • Yes Rowelle. It was my first time seeing the musical and every song was powerful. My friend that went with me said the performance wasn't as strong as the Original Broadway Cast but the song and emotion was still there. I would love to watch it again just to be engulfed in the experience again.

  • Yeah, I want to see it again too. I just don't think any of my friends would want to go with me :( They're bitches who don't like musicals at all.

  • i feel ur pain! i only have one, and she's been hanging out with the "popular" girls latley. looks like she's more like galinda than i thought.

  • I miss a lot of musicals because none of my friends want to go with me and I don't want to go by myself. I need a Broadway Buddy! Oh and my friends are broke hoe's who don't want to spend $80+ to see a show and I'm used to spending $150/ticket which is worth it if the show is great :)

  • well think about it, go by yourself (pay for one ticket) just get a really good seat like front row or something, or go with friends that cant pay that much and sit wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy in the back haha

  • True. But honestly, I'm worried about what people at the theater will think of me. "Aww, poor guy is going by himself." Most times I end up buying an extra ticket and taking a friend with me which sucks because I know they won't be able to pay me back.
