  • OMG I remember that skateboard ramp next to Burger King @ 4:16 . On our way to the burger king, me and my dad and other siblings saw this ramp. I even touched it and walked on it with my siblings. I told them I wish I could skateboard here. Then he got us value meals with free "heroes in a half shell" badge or suction cups back in 1989 :).

  • To: vvdeo06, Thanks further for your response, but I will be more happy if you can feature some youth activities or some youth sports program in your next videos.

  • It brought me back memories when I saw the video of the last Happening on the Green. I was a part of HOG for almost 2 decade. See those red tents, stage and other food booths, MWR Youth Activities crew put those up. I now live in California, but I will be back to the PI in a couple of years for good. Hi to my former boses - D. L. Carpenter, George DeCoux, Mitch Hebert, Mr. Clark, J. Pasion. I am Peps.

  • Thanks for your comments on the HOG '90 piece.

Video production is a labor of love for me. I was at Clark in June, recording aerial scenes

of the Mt.Pinatubo crater lake, the new giant SM mall at the main gate and other clips.

Hope to produce a Clark--Past and Present feature on DVD soon...

    Thanks again for your feedback~

  • Thanks for your response on the video covering HOG '90...Also, I have released other Philippines Experience pieces that are currently streaming. If you haven't seen it yet, the link below was shot during the MWR-sponsored 4th of July '90 parade across the street from where you lived.

Go to Google site and search:"Clark Air Base, R.P. 4th of July '90 parade, Base schools, and other facilities before closing.."

Enjoy it and all of Clark's memories galore..

    vvideo!!

  • I know you! :-P

  • ^^ 3rd EMS? Cool, my Dad was working for them at that time too. HOG was the best, there was no way we would let one pass us up. The parachute thing was the best. hehe. So many great memories.

  • I remember them as well, was stationed there from 1981 to 1985 and also 3rd EMS (phase).

  • I remember the Hog well, I have been to 8 of them.. But I only have snapshots.. Brings back alot of good memories.. 3rd EMS

  • For you guy to know. HOG is still being celebrated and this year it was sponsored by both San Miguel and SMART Telecoms and food was everywhere.

  • The HOG or, "Happening on the Green" was an example of the Clark Air Base community at its fun-loving best.

The HOG and annual base Chili Cook-off were very special events that thousands of on-base and off-base residents cherished and will certainly remember.

I am putting the finishing touches separate video feature that covers the 1989 Chili-Cook-off.

It should be online this week..

    Hope you enjoy..

  • Do you have anymore Clark videos?
