Greg, excellent footage! You can hear him really throttle up just as he crests the hill at about 1:00. That track geometry must be a real challenge for the engineer. Nice capture of the detector, too!
Everytime I think I see your best what do you do? You torture me and come out with something better :p ;)UP power likes the east coast like CSX power likes the west. To be honest, you feel kind of spoiled when you get the West's famous roads out east.
Great video, its amazing the way the zoom captures all the irregularities in the track. surprising the railroad didn't just cut that hill instead. I see you also have gate crashers there too!
Thanks

Lol. I know what you mean. I'm sure you all get tired of seeing UP's & BNSF's but they're uncommon around here so they're a nice treat to see.
Glad you liked it!

I always like the CSX trains that carry both intermodal and Tropicana refrigerated juice cars.

I usually get one to two of those a day. Those heading north have the Tropicana cars at the rear & the southbounds have them at the front end.

hey is this the up train that csx takes over in new orleans and runs the rest of the way to atlanta?

I'm not sure but I'd be willing to bet it is. It always has UP power on it so I would guess they run the power all the way across the country.

Sounds like that mechanical crossing bell has just about had it.

Really nice angle!! That really shows how uneven the track really is.

Thanks!
That's what I was hoping to achieve. The way the land lays out, this type of "rolling" track is fairly common this area.
I'm glad you like it.

You are welcome. I can tell you, that you definatly acieved that goal. Great job!
