  • hey man im thinking about buying a quad but i dont know what to get i dont want to spend a heap of money on my first but ive had expierience and i want it to be able to be ridden fast and hard in the bush and dirt and stuff eg beach dirt bush much appreciated

  • i"ll stick to the 1st models yfz450...

  • I'll stick to the 2009 yfz450

  • 700 for trails yfz track

  • what do you think i should buy a Raptor700R or YFZ450 ? and im only going to be using it for trail riding.

  • Whats the first tune called?

  • 09? U shud b relating it against 2011model,no real changes this year,hi guys jst stick with your older models no dif

  • So for trailriding and general all around, I'm confused whether to get a 700 Rappy or this. The 450 is way lighter and now makes more low end hp!!

  • fuck not even a LED tailight?? they went too cheap...

  • i just love how in 06 u could buy the 450 and the 700 raptor for 5999 and now the raptyor is 8000 and this thing is more to with not as good of stuff

  • So these have more power than the race YFZ450r?

  • Is it automatic?

  • @Mr12695 now way u could have that muck fun with an automatic, its manual...

  • Is it an automatic?

  • wants one

  • This is one of the best things Yamaha could've done right now. The YFZ is so well refined by now that reliability shouldn't be an issue. As far as carbureted sport quads go, this is easily the best one going, only because its so cheap and so well built.

  • i think i wanna sell my old predator 500 for one, ots to much like the raptor i want somethong kinda sportier and that bike is way cheap.

  • bought one brand new back in 2005, don't have it anymore but when they first came out they were 7,599 dollars with taxes never road a yfz 450r tho...anyways, glad to see the carb yfz back

  • Least the resale on cl will b cheap;)

  • I love what yamaha is doing with this model. I remember when you could buy a good 450r class quad for less than 7 grand on any given day. Now you have to spend upwards of 9000 dollars to ride a competitive 450. With suzuki pricing their 400 at 7099, the yfz450 will clean house in its price range.

  • I bet it rides like shit with out gas shocks

  • @pktillidie I bet you'd be wrong. Shocks are certainly spec'd down, but performance is still acceptable. If you want to race you can always upgrade shocks - or just by the YFZ450R.

  • Allright. Basically they brought back the original YFZ with a few changes. They stopped making (or simillar) the YFZ450R which was fuel injected. They say the carburetor has more power. I think it could also be a marketing strategy too. Ant the YFZR had an aluminium frame. Maybe theyre bringing old school back. Or maybe the old school engine is better ant they havent designed an aluminium frame for it. Who knows? I have the original YFZ and I like it. Its very comfortable and pwerfull. Enjoy!

  • @gusocorredor old school all the way, who wants to buy a high dollar programmer to tune a pipe

  • what is the first song? thanks

  • @mossow71 im sorry to ruin your day, but yamaha still sells the old carburated yfz40. they also sell the fuel injected 450r. but it is the 2012 model. its "new" for 2012 but its the old bike but they just brought it back. check yamaha's website. its still there. the plastics and graphics are the same for the 2012. but you need to research these things before you say its the 450r.

p.s. the headlights are further up in the 450r models rather than the regular 450 models.

  • @shortstuf911 must be in a different country that they sell the carbed model yfz's i have been to 3 yamaha dealers in the past month i i have seen for sale is 450r's

  • Why can't it be Fuel Injected?

I don't know I might get it, we sold my 07 450 witch was amazing, Didn't have a problem with the width at the dunes, but I guess the 450r is Fuel Injected, longer width, and all that jazz.

I don't know, I wish I could get another YFZ, fuck the economy right now...

@halfpipeman No it has no reverse, and it depends all YFZ's are lower, more of a dirt or sand sporty racing quad.

@whitechocolate466 like I said to Half pipe, it all depends. it will hit a lot of rocks.

  • Carb? Why?

  • is this quad good for trail riding

  • does the bike have reverse and is it go for trail riding im at naples florida

  • whats the price

  • @haroforlife19 - Yamaha is selling it for $6,799. Might be the best deal in ATVs

  • @atvdotcom $6,799? Damn I hate living in Norway sometimes. Thats what you have to pay up for a used YFZ from 2007...

  • @haroforlife19 wtf he stated at the start of the vid

  • 2012 trx450r?

  • Yeah because that looks like banshee hill at 1:17

  • Looks like Winchester to me to.

  • Winchester bay, OREGON??
