This ONE by ABS-CBN promotes the Philippines in the modern world...it also shows nationalism in a very realistic sense. I like this better than GMA's...

Fellows filipinos. for me this is the best althought i like also gma. they both did their best to bring the nationalism at its best! but for me this is the best because i feel the song which reflects to message of nationalism unlike in gma it's only acting which i like but i didn't feel the song, its like they mix it wiht some sort of ugly music background. but what i admire in gma is their acting/concept. yeah its history but cmon guys cant you see also this concept its about young generation.

There's nothing wrong with the way Lupang Hinirang was sung in this video. The voicing and tempo are just right. Punitareho naman maganda kaya lang yung sa GMA ginawang masyadong dramatic yung portrayal ng mga bayani at dito naman tama lang yung facial expressions, hindi overacting at hindi rin naman kulang sa damdaming makabayan.
yes GMA's lupang hinirang is better kasi sila naman yung komopya ng paglabas ng lupang hinirang which was started by abs. It was just a timing na historical ang theme nila. In ABS the theme is more of the people and the scenic place. pareho silang PINOY PRIDES

Mas maganda yung sa GMA. Ang pagkanta ng Pambansang Awit dapat pang martsa. Yan ang nasa batas. Hindi ganito. But I love both GMA-7 and ABS-CBN. Sobra lang sa promotion ng kanilang artista, pero you cannot blame them....its their bread and butter. Medyo dapat may mga brain shows din, huwag lang puro telenovela.
I always feel the goosebumps whenever i watch our national anthem in GMA, it reminds me how they fought for our freedom... While this vid is somehow good but it just only reminds me the faces of their artist, unlike in GMA, the history sustain. Honestly, i am not fanatic of these two station... It just happen that i accidentally tune in on their national anthem vids after browsing tv shows at midnight. Thats all... Peace!
It's normal that they promote their artists, same as sa gma's video din naman. In my opinion, both videos were good. GMA's is historical, ABS is modern. GMA promotoed the nationalism, ABS promoted the face of the future Philippines. Stop comparing. Both videos are proudly for the Filipinos.

Mga teleserye nila superb and original konti alng ang remake hindi katulad sa GMA mostly based and remakes hindi nila original na gawa tulad ng paulit ulit na CAPTAIN BARBELL..
It is the way this is shot that makes it great and they used historic places in the Philippines. For those who think GMA makes better music videos.. beforehand abs-cbn via star cinema has an older version of the video but have to replace it since some of the stars have already transferred to other networks.

I prefer the older version. Went straight to the anthem, which sounded way more uplifting and closer to the legal tempo, and focused on the other people aside from the channel talents. IMHO the graphics the end looked...cheap. Still nice though, and I like the clarity with which it was shot, but I still think they should have simply done a version of the old one.

i prefer the GMA 7 lupang hinirang. im not into watching TV and favoring channels.. i only knew this when they used the GMA7 video in one of a big assembly i attended. i loved it. this one is fine..
GMA loves remembering the past while ABS-CBN is well grounded in the present. While I like GMA for its efforts to introduce basic history to TV viewers and movie goers (if the agreement between GMA and SM still stands), I like how ABS-CBN shows where we are now: moving forward in the country while going on abroad.
I just hope Muslim Mindanao doesn't feel kinda left out.
I know what you mean by the difference in the themes. Although if it came down to a challenge to see which of the two could inspire national pride, I'd have to say the GMA one does a better job. I mean, it is fair to say that much of our national anthem is of self sacrifice for land and nation. "Ang mamatay ng dahil sa iyo." A bunch of nicely dressed actors running with flags doesn't quite scream "FREEDOM!!'

the first one is loads better. everything from the costume to the sets and cgi were better last year but GMA's this year is the best. It really evokes a feeling of nationalism and patriotism from how it presented the history of the Philippines

@NEOROVE Well, the historical aspect of GMA's video helped remind everyone what the country has gone through and be more proud. ABS-CBN's video honestly is merely a station ID. It's nice and all, but I feel more proud about the country and its history after seeing GMA's.

Mas maganda yung sa GMA. Ang pagkanta ng Pambansang Awit dapat pang martsa. Yan ang nasa batas. Hindi ganito. But I love both GMA-7 and ABS-CBN. Sobra lang sa promotion ng kanilang artista, pero you cannot blame them....its their bread and butter. Medyo dapat may mga brain shows din, huwag lang puro telenovela.

I always feel the goosebumps whenever i watch our national anthem in GMA, it reminds me how they fought for our freedom... While this vid is somehow good but it just only reminds me the faces of their artist, unlike in GMA, the history sustain. Honestly, i am not fanatic of these two station... It just happen that i accidentally tune in on their national anthem vids after browsing tv shows at midnight. Thats all... Peace!

It's normal that they promote their artists, same as sa gma's video din naman. In my opinion, both videos were good. GMA's is historical, ABS is modern. GMA promotoed the nationalism, ABS promoted the face of the future Philippines. Stop comparing. Both videos are proudly for the Filipinos.

Sa issue ng pinamagaling na network.. I think ABS-CBN yun dahil sila ang gumagawa ng history e. Galing sa kanila ang mga artista sa first ever 3D movie of the Phil. Sa kanila din makikita ang mga batikang singers like Sarah Geronimo. pati mga artista nila magagaling. Mga teleserye nila superb and original konti alng ang remake hindi katulad sa GMA mostly based and remakes hindi nila original na gawa tulad ng paulit ulit na CAPTAIN BARBELL..

we have our different interpretations when it comes to certain things. GMA has a cinematic interpretation. ABS-CBN has a contemporary approach. dont let our judgment be clouded by our network biases. :P
beforehand abs-cbn via star cinema has an older version of the video but have to replace it since some of the stars have already transferred to other networks.

I was browsing the TV and I have noticed that ABS-CBN is really turning out to be a copy-cat channel. ABS-CBN has now copied what it seems to be an ABC5 original LOL

I prefer the older version. Went straight to the anthem, which sounded way more uplifting and closer to the legal tempo, and focused on the other people aside from the channel talents. IMHO the graphics the end looked...cheap. Still nice though, and I like the clarity with which it was shot, but I still think they should have simply done a version of the old one.

Uh, to be honest. GMA's version is waaaaay better than this. Pinapakita talaga nila yung history ng Pilipinas. Kung paano natin nakamit ang kalayaan. Yung mga pinagdaanan ng bansa natin at kung paano nag sacrifice ang mga kapwa Filipino natin. Unlike dito, puro artista at politics. Ang akala nila porke't maraming artista marami ang magagandahan. Halatang halata ang mga nagcocomment dito ay puro mga KAPUSO, ano pa ineexpect na puna dito kundi negative di ba? Iba naman kasi ang mga tema ng two networks, GMA7 is more of history and ABS-CBN is more of moving forward as Filipinos, kanya kanya namang panlasa yan at hwag sanang ikumpara at saka hahaluan pa ng panlalait. GMA loves remembering the past while ABS-CBN is well grounded in the present. While I like GMA for its efforts to introduce basic history to TV viewers and movie goers (if the agreement between GMA and SM still stands), I like how ABS-CBN shows where we are now: moving forward in the country while going on abroad.
I just hope Muslim Mindanao doesn't feel kinda left out.

I know what you mean by the difference in the themes. Although if it came down to a challenge to see which of the two could inspire national pride, I'd have to say the GMA one does a better job. I mean, it is fair to say that much of our national anthem is of self sacrifice for land and nation. "Ang mamatay ng dahil sa iyo." A bunch of nicely dressed actors running with flags doesn't quite scream "FREEDOM!!'

the first one is loads better. everything from the costume to the sets and cgi were better last year but GMA's this year is the best. It really evokes a feeling of nationalism and patriotism from how it presented the history of the Philippines

Ngayon iisa na lamang sila. Mali yung iniisip niyo na nauna ang ABS-CBN, oo nauna ang GMA pero mas malaki ang ABS-CBN kaya sinabing first and biggest multimedia CONGLOMERATE

@JessaIlano maganda yung pagkakagawa ng GMA with showing our history, pero if youll think, its not really supposed to be done like that. sa ABSCBN pinapakita nila sa video kung paano dapat ang response ng mga Pilipino when they hear our National Anthem. sa GMA, youll watch and get amazed, natapos na yung anthem pero hindi mo man lang nagawang tumayo. funny but its true. pag nanood ka ng ABSCBN, mahihiya ka namang hindi tumayo at ilagay yung kanang kamay mo sa kaliwang dibdib, right?

teka,,, bkit ba kinocompare ang sa abs-cbn ska sa gma? magkaiba cla ng gs2ng ipakita. well, sa gma kc straight cla qng ano gs2 nilang ipakita, parang spoon feeding, sa abs nmn kelangan mong pag icpan, intindhin kc may mas malalim na meaning hindi ung npka common na concept. They silently fixed the issue. Ngayon may negros na! yay!!!!! complete na ang mapa ng pilipinas. kaya pala they deleted the video from mychosdotcom na una nag upload dito sa youtube. tapos they uploaded here sa abscbnstarcinema yung bago.

It's nice, though I liked the first one from a few years ago better. But I guess wala nang makakatalo sa historical epic ng GMA last year which was excellent.
Also, ending on Kris surrounded in yellow is such a downer way to end the patriotism lol

@NEOROVE Well, the historical aspect of GMA's video helped remind everyone what the country has gone through and be more proud. ABS-CBN's video honestly is merely a station ID. It's nice and all, but I feel more proud about the country and its history after seeing GMA's.
