彼の言葉に共感して世界の人から支援がもらえるかもしれないのに­、くだらない意見や批判をくり返す人は今は手段を選んでる状態じ­ゃないってこと何にも分かってない。そういう人達は自分の身に災­難がふりかかるまできっといつまでも気付かない。せめてだまって­て欲しい。

As Mr. Watanabe encourages different segments of the Japanese community to contribute to the spirit of "kizuna" according to each's own talents, I'm wondering how the artistic community is responding. Specifically, what kinds of images are emerging one week later as a kind of rallying cry to further encourage unity and solidarity? Maybe an image of the mythical phoenix rising up with the "himomaru" in the background? Remember how Hiroshima adopted the carp as its symbol of resilience post WWII?

I am also extremely impressed with the way the government has educated its people on how to respond during an earthquake.
