@bto1993 hey no problem chico. at the time 4 years ago i virtually had no software but to use a camera and point at the tv. Times have changed since than for me.
i like this film but it seems a little ridiculous that he can still speak like a normal human being, you cant make certain noises without your lips, for instance anything like B. trying saying bee with just you teeth
@enime true although lets be honest here, its ridiculous that hes even alive still heh, cant be wondering around with congealed dead flesh, exposing skull without being dead would have a huge list of infections aswell, flys wouldnt just let him walk past either they'd be in on the action too, but its science fiction afterall
Darkman was really great Action/SCI-Fi movie - reminds me The Shadow (1994) and Spawn (1997). Liam Neeson and Frances McDormand were great.. Even SCI-FI movies were much better in the 90's
@WolfMoon86 But Raimi didn't cop out. It's one of the few (comic-book ...though yes not a comic) "super-hero" tragedies (Punisher notwithstanding)...there's no happy ending...only a harsh realization that the full-turn to homicidal vigilante has been completed...and there can be no turning back.
@chabomorphosis A Young Bruce Campbell just LOOKS like a perfect comic book hero dammit...such a shame that nepotistic and insider Hollywood agencies never grave Bruce his proper shakes...easily, with more opportunities for drama, could have been one solidly sober serious actor who could have led a comic franchise in the early years.
@83phatman A Young Bruce Campbell should have been given a solid superhero film...if he'd been given some seriously sober dramatic pieces and not pidgeon-holed into farcical roles...easily could've led a solid dead-serious comic franchise...the hard-core look back says it all.
Testament to Liam Neeson's skill as an actor and Sam Raimi's skill as a director for setting the appropriate tone for the scene-- I don't think the scene would have gone over half as well without both of those elements present.
Hey thanks for being nice but even i know the quality is garbage lol and im the one who made it lol. Either way i put it up because its very sad words but so deep and powerful....to me at least. Anyway i have way better equipment since its been 2006 (see for yourself) but yea i felt sorry for him too. Its a fuckin travesty if that happened in real life
Sam Raimi originally wanted Bruce Campbell to play Darkman, but the studio said they needed "big name actors" I'm glad Raimi was able to get his good friend in there, if only for a bit of Shemping.
Totally agree, love the ending on this one, great movie! Also, in a poetic point of view, i love the scene at 1:39 when he says "Peyton is gone", you can see the light, lightning the face of darkness...
Campbell is also the the voiceover that yells "JULIE!" Vintage Sam Raimi, basically his audition tape for Spider-Man. A mediocre script at best, but Raimi, Danny Elfman, and cinematographer Bill Pope all do their damndest with the material. Raimi's usual manic direction is infectiously energetic and hard not to like. Hail to the king, baby.
Bruce makes me drool sorry. It was on Action Encore. Its what caps the movie on. It doesn't matter the quality. Its a great clip. Thanks for posting it
Oh lol. well i like him not for that reason but for the greatness of him lol. oh well your welcome :D but no need for the thanks Tina? is it (just a guess)
Ahh lol thought so but yeah my good friend shalom loves eVil dead lol. LoVes it. I dig it too. thats what i meant by greatness oh him lol. "groovy" lol my "boom stick" lol
Oooooo looket who it is! I'll see ya back in DoS Tina :D ... as far as the clip, thanks for posting it because I didn't want to sit through a 2 hour movie wondering where Bruce was lol ;)
Great ending.
He's scarred, not just physically, but psychologically as well now.

Fun trivia fact: Bruce Campbell was originally supposed to play Darkman, but the studio didn't think he could carry the role.

Sad ending to an action-packed ending. I also love that Campbell's credited as "Fake Shemp" in the end credits.

"Peyton is gone." I love the sense of sheer finality in that line. Normally it would sound corny but there it sounded epic.
