  • syndicate needs this.

  • I think the stickers on the motherboard are meant to be put on the outside of the PC case so you know the PC has those features

  • is there really a difference between the sata2 and sata3 cables?

  • @nottinmatterz2day i dont think so but its worth checking

  • Woot, Bluetooth on board!

  • Lets see a x79 setup just mobo and cpu is around $1000. A z68 with a good mobo and a 2600k is about 500 lol

  • @Joshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh1 can you help me with something please? I want a 8 dimm slot motherboard which has the lga1155 socket (z68 chipset, i72600k) but I can't find any. Or is what I'm looking for not even possible?

  • @RamtinApproves It is not possible as none of the 1155 sockets can support 4 dimm slot memory

  • will a Intel Core i7 2600k 3.4GHz Socket 1155 8MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor fit in this motherboard because i bought them together :(

  • @halo3Ftw1 no that processor is 1155 socket and this motherboard is 2011 socket

  • @pntballin423 will it fit in a ASUS P8P67 Deluxe P67 LGA1156? or should keep the motherboard and spend loads on the new cpu?

  • @halo3Ftw1 no, lga 1155 cpus only fit in 1155 sockets, I suggest you either, buy a motherboard which supports intel i7 2600k or buy a cpu which is lga2011

  • @pntballin423 and will my amd radeon hd 6800 fit in it?

  • @halo3Ftw1 no it wil not fit in that board, that is a 1156 socket and the i7 2600k is a 1155 socket and no i would not recommend buying a $1000 cpu unless you really want it. Also you can fit the 6800 in any board with a PCI x16 slot.

  • @pntballin423 thankyou :)!

  • could anybody recommend me a nice gaming mother board? im gonna build a pc with these specs : cpu: i7 2600k, gpu: msi gtx 560 t, ram: 12 gb ddr3 corsair vengeance. ps: i want to overclock my cpu to around 4.8 ghz and i was thinking of getting the asus p8p67 deluxe mother board, any better recommendations ? money is no problem so no price restrictions

  • @FlightlevelHD I recommend that one. It's a fine board, alright. But you can always go with Asus premium editions. The Crosshair extreme, v, iv and all that. MSI brand is excellent as well.

  • @Standardview My bad. Crosshair is AMD only. I meant ROG Maximus. And if budget is not a problem for you my pick would be a P9X79 Deluxe board or a Republic of Gamers x79 Asus motherboard with a INTEL i7 3930K.

  • @FlightlevelHD if moneys not a problem i would honestly recomend a superclocked gtx570, and the asus sabertooth p67 is a very solid board and i personally like the "armor" it has, make sure you get a water cooler if you going over 4.5ghz! corsair h60 or antec kuhler h2o, have fun!

  • Ok go with altos suprimo: Intel core i7-2600k 3.4GHz, intel Z68A Mushin redline 8GB

    DDR3 1866 MHz, 120 GB SSD + 1000GB SATA 3 HDD, Nvidia

Thermaltake Overseer RX-I, ATX 775w *THE BEST*

And buy a Roccat Isku keyboard. Have fun!!

  • why do do most high end motherboards always come with sli bridge and not crossfire bridge

  • @alexabc54 - Intel and Nvidia Vs AMD/ATI(AMD).... thats why ;)

  • @alexabc54 Not all Intel boards support Crossfire.

  • @alexabc54 cause at the current point in time, intel/nvidia are the market leaders in performance and would like to isolate that so if you buy an intel board and you want 2 cards it has to be nvidia

  • why is he so happy when he dont see ps/2 anymore.

  • @Jump5tylerZ maybe because most if not all keyboards and mice use usb now

  • what?

  • How much does it coust ?

  • No PS/2 port?! Nah, i'll press dislike.

  • @TheGobedan *facepalm*

  • Much rather have a bored with Old mouse/Keyboard port.

  • I wish to mount this board into a nzxt phantom with a corsair H100 in the top, will it fit with regular corsair ram or will it even fit with low profile ram?

  • What do you do with everything you buy do you just through it on a shelf after the review

  • @mj10devine i aggree what do u do when you finish your unboxings ????? do you give they away or sumtin ????/

you should put this as your test bench mobo

but if you do give stuff away i would like any mobo you can send

  • @cnks1 He dosn't buy that stuff, he works for company named NCIX...

  • @maphantom oooo yeah i totally 4got that

  • Great!........so i can put this on my xbox...

  • WHY U NO RECORD IN 1080p!

  • Why am I watching this when I dint know a word they r talking about and why is this viral?....

  • Linus likes it rough!

    (unboxing that is...)

  • Forgot to count the fan headers!

  • i have this motherboard and you actualy need the drivers cd cos it has the drivers for the internet connetion so without it you wouldnt be able to connect to the internet to get the new drivers...

  • @AllThingsLemon Or you could download the drivers on another computer to make sure you have the most up-to-date version.

  • no on-board video?? wtf??

  • @ZGoldRush cuz it's a enthusiast platform... i.e. no integrated graphics in the cpu

  • ooh he said "cool beans" again

  • we need the part 2 of water cooling so i can start pre cumming!!!!!

  • ncix charges more than Amazon does

  • @TehBadGamer ya, but the good thing is that NCIX price match, and anything over 50$ is free shipping (US site) i just bought a shinobi, price matched it with a site, and got free shipping... you can't go wrong with NCIX :)

  • Dear santa,

  • kind of off topic but oh well. :)

Does anyone know if you can get a good (but relatively cheap)

sata 3 6Gbps port for a pci-e 4x slot that would out perform the dreaded marvell controller.

    (For RAID 0)

  • I just built a system with the board. Easy build with 32GB of quad channel RAM. Booted with no issues and runs great with the TPU switch ON. Easy OC to 4.2 GHz at 34C.

  • I only believe only 70% of what he says cause he just guess what features come with the product and unboxes the goods with out proper research.

  • I want to see new video reviews everyday!

  • u need to also review handhelds.. as well as fly to electronic expos and ask ppl questions check stuff out.. take it beyond the youtube NCIX room realm.. review all the leading stuff.. u will get tons and tons of traffic on ur channel, NCIX has tons of money to make it happen for u.. and when u do it for them.. as well as make something like save 5% cause it came from ur video.. on NCIX.. ppl would buy from NCIX

  • eww ugly board...

  • i hate all theses high priced intel piece of crap boards show the good stuff

  • @Acewick1 because its a stores youtube channel so they are just showing what they are getting into their store..?

  • I like poo brown sli bridge shame on u guys.

  • Water cooling part 2?

  • @ps3universal yes they would work just not to the transfer speeds of 3.0 it would only get 2.0 transfer speeds

  • so i could plug a standard USB keyboard (probably 2.0) into a 3.0 port right as well as a 2.0 flash drive and still have them all work...?

  • @ps3universal yeah it should work. A usb3 device wont work on a usb2 port. hope this helped bro.

  • @JamieBell1994SCO USB 3.0 is backwards compatible bro.

  • @JamieBell1994SCO ...I love people who suggest shit when they have no idea.

  • isnt only 2 way sli brown?

  • Linus is about to break world wide record guines on motherboard unboxing

  • Love ASUS. Excellent Customer Service... a lot of DOA boards though, but great replacement service.

  • They should have at least one ps/2 port just for the people who have a mechanical keyboard to get their fancy n-key rollover. someone who spends ~350 on a mobo and ~600-1000 on a processor is going to want to have every feature in every aspect on their rig accessible.

  • @balisticjoe I actually like boards that are not loaded down with useless crap. reduce the price and get of the ps/2

  • @balisticjoe lol... PS/2 ports shouldn't even be mentioned when looking at a board as high end as this. Besides, PS/2 are outdated. No one is buying a PS/2 keyboard anymore.

  • @balisticjoe Indeed, what about users such as myself who use KVM's PS/2 is a must!

  • and it still has more ram slots than a sniper.

  • @infrinous19 Sniper is Z68. Gigabyte made their boards knowing that most gamers won't need more than 4 DIMM slots. 8 gigs is the standard, 16 is the extreme, anything else is usually just for people who control servers and other memory consuming applications.

  • Motherboard is 3:00

  • Looks better than Gigabyte's MW3 motherboard.

  • @MidNiteR32 I'm sure that Gigabyte doesn't produce a MW3 based board. Maybe you're thinking of the G1.Assassin 2

  • @PancakesGaming

    Yup, that's the one.

  • stop misleading people all sata cables are the sameeee

  • i thought he said peanut x79 pro.

  • @tracytbattle LOL

  • WHAT IS YOUR OTHER CHANNEL!?!?!!

  • @ThatGassettGuy NCIXCom

  • he said P90X

  • cool beans

  • @chrisalamp every time that is said a bunny dies somewher

  • who sells their old cpu b4 the new one runs o_O

  • @Abteilol Idiots. But never underestimate the stupidity of the end-user.

  • what would be the best upgrade for a pc from amd 955 gtx 580 4gb ram? an ssd or a new cpu?

  • @kingduqc i7 990x

  • @kingduqc RAM

  • Throwing away driver disk is a bad idea. Windows may not have your ethernet or wireless port.

  • 64gb of ram max = waste of money because if you needed that much ram you would be using this as a server not a PC and if you had a server why not just get a server spec board instead of this where you have multiple CPU's that can make use of all that ram

  • lol "value oriented" and $350 bucks thats as much as my whole build... :(

  • @Techthisbuffalo lol me to.

  • @LinusTechTips: i think with all your experience you could do a very good tutorial how to build a pc ;)

  • i want linus to smash or throw the unboxed device in the background

    at least in one video

  • Beautiful southbridge heatsink

  • I rather wait until this board turns to $20 in 15 years

  • Where is the crossfire bridge...

  • @ioklmj11 trololololol, i think asus knows that youll regret buying amd/ati products.

  • I'm not sure so much coverage of a (what might as well be) server platform is needed...

  • did he say 64Gb of ram WTF!!!!!

  • @TheDemonFang

That's exactly what i just said when i heard it a few seconds ago. Shit is nuts! LOL!!!

  • @cMARVEL360 there is no reason you would need 64gb of ram hell i got 16 and dont even need that much and windows supports lke 128gb i can play 2 high end games and not max out 16gb lol...

  • nice dramatic zoom at the end :p

  • What's the difference between that and the ud7 7 expansion slot one from gigabiyte

  • thanks for putting up US and CA links

  • Did you get married or something?

  • fan headers?

  • goddammit i wish i had linus's job for a friggin day.

  • Can I has? ;)

  • Linus! I've been having 'boot error' all day on my PC, and my PC won't start at all.

Should a get a new HDD?

FRICKEN HELPP MEH I CANT SURVIVE ON MY PHONE FOR MUCH LONGER!

  • @shaunphill Sounds like a BIOS option was changed but it could the HDD

  • @Zacccc51 I think it's the HDD. I tend to stay away from BIOS, i'm too scared to touch anything LOL. Thanks anyways :D

  • Man I want that sooo bad.

  • and once again, there is the ugly poo brown sli bridge, shame on you Asus, shame on you.

  • @angron666 yeah shame on them we want a led bule one

  • @angron666 i know why they do that. so you buy a asus graphics card with a black sli brigde

  • @snoodxxx or to make you buy a rampage IV

  • @angron666 My Asus Board is brown :D but its 3 or 4 years old :D

  • Linus: God amongst asian men.

  • @DanHDMusic *negative response*

  • @DanHDMusic I completely agree

  • @DanHDMusic Come at me bro.

  • yeah i used to run PCI 3 but then i took an arrow to the knee.

  • can someon please tell what the took an arrow to the knee thing is about?

  • skyrim joke ... all the gaurds apparently were adventurers and took arrows to the knee

  • @XxmabezxX It's a reference to Skyrim. One of the guards says "I used to be an adventurer like you and then..."

  • @thegeneral123 ahh, cheers.

  • @TheMaristBoy in skyrim a gaurd says "i used to be an adventurer like you, but then i took an arrow to the knee" and somehow that turned into a meme

  • I LOVE THE INTRO D:

  • It's funny because it's a value board at the low price of $330.00 Whoa what a deal......... LMAO

  • @WhiteWalI 128GB DDR12 @ 15,000Ghz LMAO would be crazy....

  • Is it true AMD made only make GPU but no CPU?

    :(

  • @Martinx88813

    They make both

  • @MMMCVIDEO I know they do both but I heard AMD may stop making CPU if that so it suck...

  • value OK

  • Every video with motherboards long and boring ... take motherboard and show how favorably the entire computer

  • Could you unbox the X79 Asus Sabertooth pl0x :p

  • finaly they put that crap in color :) u made it come true ^^

  • Stop chewing gum please.

  • Board at 3:20

  • One more point: No PS/2 port?! I use my Filco Majestouch mechanical switch keyboard using that port. PS/2>USB for keyboards by far. Can't believe this...

  • @3Z3K13L08 You can use a USB to PS/2 adapter so you can use PS/2 keyboard and mice with a single USB port, I would recommend a BELKIN one. I've got one and they are very good!

  • @bradg1982 I have a few PS/2 to USB adapters floating around but that's not my point. I use (and other that also do) the PS/2 port because it offers advantages over USB. There is no reason to use USB over PS/2, there are no advantages, on disadvantages. I will agree that the difference is almost non-existent between the two ports but the difference is still there and thus I know I'm using the best possible connection for my keyboard.

  • The release of X79 is all very strange. They release the two high end chips (3960X and 3930K) but hold off the mainstream chip, 3820, until Q1 2012. Now mainboard manufactures are releasing all these mainstream and budget boards but there is no matching CPU to use them with (Intel 3820). I'm personally waiting for the 3820 before I buy one of these boards and a set of RAM. Hopefully the prices have dropped and I can score a third GTX 580. Fingers crossed the 3820 gets to 5 GHz like the 2600K.

  • SWEEEET MOTHER BOARD!!

  • omg i see theese ''i took an arrow to the knee'' everwhere on youtube, what the fuck to people mean with that?

  • @olivergren

it comes from Skyrim the game.

  • @PvNProduction haha is that all? im playing skyrim and cant belive that people make this much shit about it on youtube, yes i know a whiterun guard and probably other guards says that '' but then i took an arrow to the knee'' but anyway thx for a great answer! :)

  • @olivergren When you play the game some more, you will notice all the gaurds in ALL the towns say it. That's why people spam it, because it is annoying in the game and they say it so much. So now it's yet another internet meme.

  • @olivergren Just stupid kids who played Skyrim and want top comment.

  • Keep your drive disk in case you need it

  • Comment removed

  • no board for this socket is value oriented because of the 650$ cpu. and im my opinion if your paying that much go for the best board. and does anyone know if theres going to be a cheaper cpu coming out?

  • I dont understand what the TPU thing is that Linus said beats the MSI/Gigabyte one touch overclock button. can somebody explain?

  • So many Skyrim memes. DAMN YOU 4CHAN AND REDDIT! You meme machines.

  • i used to talk about arrows to the knee but an arrow when into my knee

  • Hey camera kid... FOCUS. Focus. focus.......focus.

  • So lucky he gets to unbox something everyday. I LOVE UNBOXING STUFF :3!

  • Dmnit linus, the orange one is CFX

  • do the asus m5a99xevo and 97

  • cool beans

  • you cant download latest drivers, you have to instal lan port via CD / dvd :D:D

  • @eisacenkovs Download them before you install it all, and Windows tends to have generic drivers that work well enough to get online without having to use the driver disc. Usually lol.
