This recording made a scandal when Heifetz was recording it. Jewish people attacked him, fortunately Heifetz survived over this street fight and recovered quickly to finish this recording

Hmm....actually this recording was made before WWII.

What you might be referring to is when Heifetz played this piece in Israel for the 1st time after the war. This was very controversial at the time, and there were some fanatics that were upset. One man tried to hit him, but Heifetz was OK.
