Before that an American passport always meant superior treatment...forget the stamp I remember being simply waved through many check points just at the sight of one. @FloraJay Yeah, it's bullshit. I went to England with my friends for three weeks on a little vacation, and when I tried to go back home they let everyone past except me. When I asked why they said that there was some mysterious misprint on my passport (my last name is just fucking long) so I had to stay for another week by myself in a country I've never been too and is not my native tongue (I'm Hungarian). Never went back.
