It really is amazing stuff you're doing with the title sequences Rob. They make the BBC's tacky stuff look like some amature did it. Thank you SO much for giving us Classic Who fans what we've been waiting for, for years. It's a privalige seeing these.
I had a similar idea for one of these, but this one is the shizznit! Good work! I think that this should be a candidate for a future Doctor Who opening title sequence, I love it :)
Loved this. Always liked the seventies logo but thought that here it might look better in a different colour and perhaps toned down a little. There was a richness and fullness to the bass line of the music which I particularly liked.
If I had been put in charge of producing the current doctor who I would have used this title sequence and theme music;it's genius! Where did you get the sparklies bit from and the whitenoise slipstream whoosh into the basslineloop? The old BBC symbol gives it a retro 70's feel too!
well in all fairness i dont think anyone can beat the original. the modern era hasnt even scraped the potential that they managed with the baker titles
Eh, what I liked about Who in the 70's was that it wasn't trying to be over wrought, or too flashy... that is - it wasn't trying to be a commercial for itself.
I would personally not have the TARDIS there, or just have it flying up the tunnel a la the original, but maybe spinning. What did you use to create the tunnel?
nice time tunnel

Cool!
How did you get the electronic spangles at the beginning of the theme and make them more echo-ey?

The original is a classic, the vortex wrapping around the objects was superb.
To get this idea to work I'd forget trying to be too 2005 stylee and try and get your vortex to morph around the moving objects.
And it really won't work without the scared as hell Tom Baker mug shot.
Best of luck but the original is much better as it's simple.
The Colin redux is great though.

if only the orginal Tom one had effects back then like this. Course we need Toms head in the finished one, very nice however.
