Before Obama hired Larry Summers, almost all economists were giving him grief for not hiring the man. He even got grief for not naming Summers to be the treasury sec. My point is that Summers credentials can't be disputed. He's one of who's who, when it come to the economy.

His speech today at Georgetown. Probably on YT somewhere. His lawyer/professor came out. He answered why's he's doing it. He's going for as fast a turnaround in the economy as possible. So, yes he will bailout banks, buy up thier toxic assets, help AIG clean their books, and keep the auto industry from collapsing. His argument to "us" was pretty damn convincing. Hey, we do live in a democracy, so vote him out in 4 years if you don't like it.
