do you mean the chucking sound before i strum at the start? hold all 6 strings down slighty with your fingers..this makes you mute the strings to give the effect...if thats waht you mean, or you need more help just contact me again..cheers
OH I didn't read skateantidrugs question, i thought he was asking for the chords for whole thing not just verse. I added C because it's in the chorus oh and A ..lol
Nice Playing Man. Been a Jack Johnson / Cole Clark fan since Jack's first CD.
I just picked up a Bunya Top / Queensland Maple sides and back FL1AC over here in Canada. The action seems a little high to me. Did you lower the action on your CC.
Thanks, and I love the playing. I'll post some of my JJ covers soon.
@tstrautman hey I just got a cc in canada and the action was higher that what I expected. Did you end up fixing yours? Did you do it yourself? Thanks
I'm going to be buying a cole clark guitar soon. I looked at a FL2AC with a spruce top with a rosewood back and an ebony finger board. I've played this guitar and fell in love with it, but what's the difference between spruce top and bunya. By the way, you do awesome covers of jack johnson, if i closed my eyes i'd think your the man himself.
hi there, there is not much difference, I think bunya has a nicer sound than the spruce, but the spruce is what is usaually used as a guitar top, My pick would be the bunya, I'm looking at getting another cole clark for myself, this time a Custom FL1 A, and I'm choosing the bunya this time, as my FL2 AC has a spruce top, either way its up to you which one your prefer, try the bunya it really sounds great..cheers
hi there, my woods are: spruce top, qweensland maple back, sides and neck..
jack uses the same, but i do know since he such a green person, he likes to choose the option of bunya top, however, i think bunya sounds better, but spruce would prob be the best option..either way it doesnt make too much difference in sound quality..cheers
um..its a pine wood, it can be either dark or lite, most likely lite. but can have more defects with wood grain than with the spruce..otherwise there is not very much difference in sound with these woods, you would have to play one for yourself..
usually i wouldn't say this about most guitars, but this one, wow.. it knocks any other guitars off the list, easy on the fingers, and no buzzes or rattles with strings.. and the pick up amazing..the action is perfect. but some peole can be very picky, honestly,..this would have to be the best guitar i have ever played in my life...get one..i will never get another guitar..and if i had 2 i would buy another one of these in a instant...the cole clark lives up 2 all expectations.
Have you played any high end matons? Was thinking about one of them as I've played a few and they're flamin' georgous, and I've honestly never played a Cole Clark, how would you compare the two?
hi there, yeah i have played a few high end matons, and they are very similar 2 the cole clark, but honestly...this guitar from the moment i picked it up i knew at that moment how great they were, the tone just goes through your body..and i think these are better than maton.. for the fact the guy who makes these(brad clark)he was the CO for maton..did you know that? he worked with maton for 11 years and used what he learned, and know has made a guitar that really blows the socks off..
to be honest..these have the best pick-up system..they are nice and light..and would say brad has made a guitar that is one step ahead of maton and i think the cole clark will be hard to beat, this guitar should be more reconised then the credit it has...and and artists like Ben Harper, Pete Murray, Jack Johnson etc.you only have to see the reviews on the fl2. and with great artists saying that these are their favourite..what does that tell you??? you just seem to get more out of this instrument
my model is a FL2 AC, I got it ordered by mojosounds in wellington nz, and i paid exactly $2000 dollars for it, which as actually cheaper than some of the prices of the high end matons. at the moment i dont own a acoustic amp, see how loud they are? one of the loudest guitars ive heard, it just sings to ya!
You actually sound a ton like jack Johnson.. Which is probably the best complement you could ever receive.. :) great cover

does no1 realize that all of his songs sound exactly like Jack Johnson's studio versions of the songs?
either he's Jack Johnson in a younger body or it's the recording singing not him and he's tryin to sell off Jack Johnson's voice as his own

Hey. would you mind telling me the woods on your lady? And if you know, the woods on Jack's.
By the way, gigging for a blind audience, you could ALMOST pull off being the man himself!

just a quick question was the cole clark really worth the money, are they as good as everyone says?

Good to know. Had no idea Brad Clark used to make maton- that's interesting too. I'll definitly try a couple out.
What model's yours? How much did you pay? Also do you own an acoustic amp?
