I know it's a strange question but man the night view is really important to me too lol and I'm looking at buying a 2009 Corolla LE. Do you think it's possible you can shoot a minute video of the inside of the car at night? Thanks! :)

I just found out there is a difference when I move down and to the left instead of just down, I don't remember if I have been driving in 3 or D but I feel so bad and guilty! bc I might have been driving in "3" on the freeway. could that ruin my car?
Lower RPM's doesn't always equal better results. the 2.4L gets "okay" MPG..the 1.8L is bulletproof, running it at 2800-3200k on the highway won't damage it.

no shawtiee. If you are in 1st or 2nd gear and u use '3' you stay in that gear and nothing prevents the car from actually upshifting to 3rd gear. If you are on 3rd then nothing happens.
3 has the exact same function as overdrive: Downshift from either 4th or 5th to 3rd gear. It's main function is not 'for passing', but to prevent damage on the gearbox when going uphill. You could also use it when driving in snow so it doesnt get in high gear.
@shawtiee1085 isn't like the gears d3, 2, or L used for like going up and downhills? so that when going downhill you won't have to use your brakes as much and the engine will just slow the car down and when going uphill it will help you control your speed better so that you won't have to keep on pressing on the gas pedal harder? if you wanna pass someone just press the pedal further down in D4

It is the probably quietest compact car you can buy and it drives OK.

Note on the transmittion it says 3-D, and you can move the shift lever left or right.
Right (D) is for normal drive, and Left (3)
is for overdrive

D is using all 4 gears (where the overdrive gear is the 4th gear)
3 means it will only use the first three gears and will not shift into the fourth.

ive driven both a sentra and civic and they rev around that area.
its proablly set to rev higher for maximum efficency.
our tahoe reves around 2200 at 70 mph
