@neopogos dont we all want eternal youth ..lol but time and gravity catches up with everybody eventually and the law of human nature says you only get one shot at youth and you got to make the most of it. and i did just that. so over a 30 year span i experimented with a little bit of everything, never missed a concert, stage show or party, i fucked my brains out and took life to the max. and if i had it to do all over again i woulden"t change a thing. except hit a few more shows maybe .lol
dude...i donnntt got her...dont want her!!! never have and never will!! i also always got wendy o too!!...ever since a philly show way back at 15!!..and ever since her poster always stuck to my wall with no tape or thumbtacks ...AT ALLLL!!!!! MUAH HAHA!!
She got beat up frm the cops. What I was saying at the end is that I got suspended frm school 4 wearing a plasmatics pin on my shirt. Maybe it was because I was in 6th grade and the pin had Wendy O with electrical tape on her nips. Lady Ga Ga got nothing on her. Today's punk is a joke so safe in this PC world. U couldn't get away with anything The Plasmatics did.
Man they were great later on they became metal weren't as good as the punk years. But Wendy O was always real. I met her in NYC right after I bought all her 45s and there first record it was right after milwaukee jan.28,1981after Wendy got best up by the cops. She was so cool. I was 14 or 15. She signed all the records &spoke 2 me 4 like a1/2 hr. I got on the wrong train like 3 times my mind was spinning. At the time the world was freaking out about them. I got suspended frm school 4 wearing a
It always amazes me that whenever people or documentaries talk about the punk pioneers, they're quick to bring up the Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash but they always leave out the Plasmatics.
stories of Plasmatics live are amazing! I never saw them as just a bit too young at the time... but grew up obsessed by New Hope For The Wretched album and their early singles! I mean... Butcher Baby single cover - surely the best image of all time!!!
What a great vintage video!!! I was lucky to be able to see them live a few times back then at CBGB's, Bond International Casino, the free outdoor show on the westside of Manhattan and another club somewhere in the Village all in Manhattan. They were way ahead of their time. RIP Wendy.
If you dont already know what this is and are scratching your minges going WTF? then i suggest you just stick to your Cheryl Cole and JLS recordings because you obvioulsy dont know much about anything
corporate media wont let the general public view any real talant they give you gaga mily american idol though that kelly clarson is cool but anyway from what i remember in the 80 $ regonomics toock over the record industry greed was the soup of the day true artist took a hike
This is how the Plasmatics looked when I first saw them in the late 70's then later she got the mohawk but anyway you slice it their in your face Rock & Roll just like your parents & teachers hate making it all that much more better! ;)
atzlan you're a complete retard. Spray, you are entirely correct; lady kaka (the hermaphrodite) ripped off Dale Bozzio big time and also ripped off Bjork.
i think her and her band set precedents for almost every metal..industrial.. punk..and electronic bands period! like addeded performance art ...or just plain performance period to music!
the plasmatics are gods and wendy is the goddess!!...and all we fuckin got today is fucking asshole lady gaga??..lady gag gag??!!..girl u aint got a fuckin clue!!
I taped this of the Australian late night video show Rage about 10 or 15 years ago - The Hard Ons were programing that night. I watch Rage almost every week an I haven't seen it played again since then... I tell you the ABC must have some great old stuff in their vault that never sees the light of day!!
@bazzil66 Man I always wanna know where come from this videos with the writing RAGE on it.. Thanks for the info.. Every RAGE video is fucking AWESOME!!! Greatings from Brazil man!
Thanks for posting this. I was lucky enough to see her during her mohawk days I think 1981 at the Agora in Atlanta. I also saw the Stones around the same time. Believe it or not if I had to choose what concert I enjoyed the most it was the Plasmatics.
I'll never forget the Plasmatic-gig 1981 in Zurich, Switzerland, where i was lucky to participate in the riots, right after the concert! Strong are Wendy William's last words, before she killed herself: " (...) For me, much of the world makes no sense, but my feelings about what I am doing ring loud and clear to an inner ear and a place where there is no self, only calm.
You're right, I have found their 1980 mythical performance at "PIER 62" and that one is still "pre-mohawk" and Wendy is dancing the same song quite similar. So, probably this is from early 1980 too, or late '79. And the version on the CBGB bootlegs from 1979 is not so speed... Anyone has seen more songs from the same concert or knows the place? Thanks!
I imagine this would have been 1980 - the pre mohawk days. This is the only video I have seen from this era, I preferred them then, they went too metal for me in the end.
Wow! if this is really Plasmatics, this must be their oldest recorded performance... Wendy w/o "mohawk" hair? And the way she dances is really strange on her... From which year is this? Are there other pre-1980 recordings?
Thems the good times.

Wendy is looking soooo hot in the New Wave get-up. So much better than the mohawk metal look. But she still rocked anyway around.
mothra1000 2 years ago 2
This has to be 1978 0r 1979. Wendy is dancing in a much more new wave fashion than "rocking out" in the post 1980 version of the band.
