He actually recorded 'Easy' to prove to critics he could sing and if you haven't already, you might want to check out the FNM version of 'I started a joke' or 'ashes to ashes' as he definately isn't 'whiney' in that.

FNM is legendary. they were awesome before patton and even better with him. FFDP's cover is an awesome tribute to an incredible band. i personally like the FNM original better, and i think FNM has more range and talent, but the FFDP version is good too. by covering this song, FFDP shows some great taste in music. would it be better if FFDP covered a less talented band? i don't think so. dont hate, congratulate!

I agree about them showing they have good taste in music, but other than that, their cover can't even compare... it sounds so generic and canned, whereas FNM's original is light years ahead of it's time and from outer friggin space!

@ApoeticVampire FNM is one of my favorite bands of all time, and i think one of the most underrated bands ever. i dont have a problem with FFDP covering their shit(id never buy it though), but... i think FNM is way better in every way. i can still listen to "the real thing" and be blown away by every song, its even more amazing it came from 1990(it sounds like it could be from 3450!)

covers are ok in my book, but i agree there is nothing like the original FNM!!! i like your musical taste :)
