I think they all sound lovely, and the bells here handle and "go" beautifully. I've only ever rung on a few G&Js in my time, but these are my favourite, although I bear a strong loyalty to Whitechapel. HE HE HE! =]
I just came back from ringing here on an open day! It was great. Lol we rang the back five, so that was my heaviset bell, the second, which was 12cwt. Was great. A video will follow soon!
These bells are Gillett and Johnston 1928, in the frame from 1867. They are very good but the problem is they are mushy in the ringing chamber and people don't like them because of that... I like them a lot though. Manchester Town Hall are indeed HO HO HO. I have a video of them from Albert Square which i will put up.
I didn't realise how nice these bells were untill i heard them. Have you rung here? I have a great recording of the town hall bells. They are really nice!
I seen this cathedral last year when visiting manchester

This practice sounds about as well attended as Pilton, Somerset....

I didn't find them at all mushy, but perhaps when you ring all 10 they are a bit different. Fabulous bells.

You should go ring at Manchester town hall 24 bells there and 12 are hung for change ringing.
The ten here are nice though.
