DT for me includes Devin Townsend and Dark Tranquillity. Dream Theater died with their newest record. I still got DT on my car's license plate just because of these three bands.

It's just, their melodic value has changed, their drums are unoriginal and even Jordan, who I thought of being the most solid performer of Dream Theater, disappointed me as well. yeah! the working title is Z² (zee-squared). after that, i believe he's expressed interest in possibly following up Ocean Machine, although it's definitely not set in stone, being more than two years away.
