  • lol

    te he

    :)

  • haha thats me

  • Were there supposed to be altos in this version. If there were, I couldn't hear them. Our choir did this song for our opening concert and it was a lot of fun. They didn't look like they were having much fun until the scat version, and even then they still looked rather emotionless.

  • its supposed to sound like crap its what u do thats funny which these guys did not

  • Had any of these people ever met before this performance. What a mess!!

  • I didn't know this was a 12-tone work...

  • Ba-ZING!

  • We are singing both versions of this song! I love this as it is just perfect for the mood!

  • a truly vile performance, but uttlery appropriate for this work... LOVE the pitch pipe!!

  • ummm ok, but am i the only one who hears how bad the sopranos sound?

  • Glad someone had the guts to point out the freedoms this choir took with pitch.

  • @satBASS nope!

  • LMAO...

  • You all sound great. The guys in my school make us sound bad lol

  • look up 'screaming opera'. Our school did the same song... but differently.

  • gotta love peter schickele

  • P.D.Q. Bach is an absolute genius.

  • our school's chamber choir is singing this tomorrow night at a concert; we were going to have one of the tenors do the improv but im not sure if he's still gonna do it lol

  • we did a sight read through this today, I couldn't sing it because I kept laughing!

  • From "Fa-la-la's" to scat singing...lol!!!

  • What a great performance!!!!! I was fortunate to be able to perform a Sonata with Peter Schickele and his P.D.Q. Bach Show for three nights during Christmas of 1975 in Lincoln Center.

  • Please elaborate on the experience.

  • Peter Schickele wanted people for his "Festival of Weird Instruments" section of his P.D.Q. Bach Show Decemeber 26, 28 and 29 in 1975. I was put in touch with him through a mutual friend, and we wrote letters back and forth for over a year, until he invited me to come to New York and audition. He told me on the spot that he wanted me! Three thousand a night in the audience in Philharmonic Hall! Handwhistling a Marcello Bassoon Sonata with an accompanist, and "Turkish March" on Facial cheeks.

  • We did this song at SAC and it was fun. Thanks for sharing these fun memories.

  • very nice... i think there should be more pdq bach in the public school system-it would do society a lot of good!
