  • Beautiful!

  • any tabs?

  • @Ericman2043 h t t p://anagiollo*dot*wordpress*dot*com/2010/02/09/ulli-boegershausen-tabs/

  • @TTplaya thanks, do you know how to do the slap thing after the chorus

  • @Ericman2043 slap thing? for example that at 1:21 and 1:26? He hits the strings down on the neck for a little percussion.

  • @TTplaya yeah how do u do that? when i try it sounds very muted and not very loud.

  • @Ericman2043 you have to do a accurate stroke on the strings down on the neck, i think the thumb pick helps a little bit...and a little bit training, it is not that hard...

  • @TTplaya ok thanks.

  • Why removing this awesome video?

  • @doctorbonny he is not, where did u get this crazy idea

  • press 2 and stop this is for all the dislikes..and i have a question..can i use your song??

  • @MrQoors makes no sense...

  • Any chance of posting the TAB for this version..I love it! Thanks!

  • @annapod1 There already is one :)

Wunderschön gespielt weiter so Ulli LG

  • OMFG He keeps his eyes closed for the whole song!

  • @superconte94

man, he's feeling it and playing well :D

  • A music box tune. Breathtaking and inspiring.....

  • is he using any alaska piks or sth like that like sungha does?

  • @DoubleMannings no he does not use. He only uses a thumb pik.

  • you really put your soul and heart into your playing :) a true musician

woudl love to see you cover under the milky way by "the church" ;) peace brother :)

  • Anyone have the tabs to this??!!!!

  • @Mohaamadq Yes,send me a messagge

  • Can people stop bout bitching sungha and ulli. You have to now that Sungha was Ullis student. Thats why sungha plays these songs in the same way as Ulli.

Srry for my english, Dutchie here :]

  • @aytoy180 Is dat echt/?? super vet :P

  • Instant favorite and subscription

  • Amazing tone from that guitar:-)

  • Nice

  • Absolutely amazing. This leaves me speechless.

  • @mika1982rafa You just spoke

  • Would you ever consider selling this arrangement on your website? I'd really love to get my hands on it.

  • This song playd by Ulli makes me relax (:

  • Ulli is a guitar GOD!!!!!

  • this is extraordinary - inspirational.

  • This is great, thank you.

  • i think that Sungha Jung is fan of ulli he use the same guitar lookwoud

  • your clip with sunga jung is great!!!!

  • god?

  • what will sungha sound like when he's ulii's age?

  • How come Ulli has the capo on the 7th fret, but Sungha has it on the 8th?

  • @loserman7162

    Guitar tuned differentely for example?

  • @lunatictm ... I'm pretty sure that both guitars were tuned the same.

  • @loserman7162 They weren't Sungha is a half step higher.

  • @iswear12345 No, Sungha's cover is higher than Ulli's and if he put his capo on the 7th fret, both would sound the same.

  • @loserman7162 oh my bad, for some reason I thought you were talking about whether or not he played it higher.

  • This song isn't hard to play at all; it's the passion for playing that's hard to come by like this man. I hope when I'm old and near death, I can at least appreciate music more.

  • is anyone else thinking of donnie darko right now?

  • G.O.W \m/

  • So beautiful I cried. A full-grown man too ;)

  • ulli is the master of harmonization. How I love the way his bass strings ring and last till my heart breaks !

  • Just a little Question... Ulli u actually speak german, right?

just because of the name, sounds very german/austrian/swiss to me ;)

i'd be looking forward for an early reply :)

btw nice video, as always =)

  • @FreakyGuitarGuy94

    Yes, he`s German =)

  • @Marktyy haha^^

    that's i thought too =)

Mach weiterhin so schöne Videos =)

Gaaaanz liebe Grüsse aus der schönen Schweiz

  • You are a very talented musician. I listen to you a lot. Very smooth. I play everyday and hope to someday be able to play with they style and skill you play with. Thank You

  • Sie Sind Erstaunlich!

  • Lets stop talking; and start listening

    :)

  • awesome im learning it

  • where can I download an mp3 of Ulli's version?

  • Comment removed

  • @TheJacky1255 1.

    LG

  • i hear alot of people saying sungha is like a robot and doesnt express emotion when playing. but that is definitely not a bad thing. check out gorthon by robert taylor. he definitely seems like a robot but is an outstanding player. and then check out nordamerica by Pino Forastiere (video when hes prepped against a wall) to see a guy show alot of emotion :P

  • Whew! I thought the Sungha version was perfection, until I saw this.

  • @SeanFication maybe because hes the teacher of sungha?

  • @SeanFication Music isn't about competition, whos better at this or that, it's about taste. Sungha and Ulli are both equally great musicians, but they have different tastes which makes the unique.

  • @myunicorniseatingme cool name ;)

  • @MrTerrorTurtle Thanks. :P

  • @myunicorniseatingme search in youtube Lonlonjp

  • I like the way his finger shake @ the end... lol

  • @Oxiic i know it doesnt matter ahah but the terms vibrato[:

  • This arrangement I like especially.

  • that was outstanding, is it possible you could give me the tab?? if so, that would be wonderful. my email is edthesailorman@gmail.com

  • @edthesailorman1

The tab is on the internet. Just google it.. :)

  • For everyone who complains about the views-difference between Shunga Jung and Ulli: Shunga is young. How many of you commentors could play this when you were his age, and for those of you who ARE his age, play it and post it. You're likely to garner a few views of your own. Ulli rules, as does Shunga Jung.

  • how can this video have such few views????

is it me, or has the world lost it's taste in real music?

  • @andrew11x No, people just prefer when a 14 year old kid covers it which is a shame.

  • Sungha is not bad but he plays the most Songs like a maschine he need little bit more feeling =/

But he is jung and will be better ^^

  • Such beautiful clean notes. Wish I had a fraction of his talent.

  • Amazing.

  • So much trolls, everyones a good writer and guitarist. There I solved the problem, now enjoy the music as it immerses your soul with mellowness and enjoyment. :)

  • @benhoward1 hopefully he doesn't do it to get attention...

  • @benhoward1 For Your Info, maybe you haven noticed, but there are quite a few songs that sungha has arranged himself. And so what if he irritates you? He's merely a kid and yet he can cover so well. Perhaps you can do better.

  • @woshiprozzz i know he has, hence why in my comment I said he is talented. I acknowledge he is incredibly talented; i just don't understand why people have very little concern for the original origins of songs. For rap music they sample so many songs and everyone just says it's better than the original. Inspiration comes from the original and without the original song your piece is meaningless. So, it saddens me to see peoples apathy for the original arrangements or compositions.

  • Wunderbar gespielte Coverversion.

    Gefällt mir ausgesprochen gut.

  • That's a great arrangement, love it.

  • my video response is above :) yay!. i love this song, ulli is amazing, i need to learn alllllllllllll of his songs!. every last one!

  • wtf man

all this ulli vs sungha shit going on

    stfu plox

  • You can't compare the performance of a kid like Sungha (it's already outstanding he has the technical skills to play such songs at his age) and one of Boegershausen, who has a lot more experience...

A kid can't play a song like an adult does, first of all. Second, Ulli makes the guitar sing by itself. The melody itself comes out from the other notes like it was natural to play it like that.

  • Greeeeat song, very beautifully composed. and, easy to figure out the tabs if you're clever and observant enough :).

  • @Jonza0 i should buy a capo : /

  • @Stevenramkins I got mine for free from a friend, it's a dinosaur, but it works, mostly. Hahahaha. Gotta love being on a budget.

  • It's awesome!!!!

  • ulli boegershausen.

you are the coolest guy ever. you are THE chuck norris of guitar :O.

  • Is that nylon? It sounds like a steel but the necks pretty thick...

does anyone know what kind of guitar that is? :3

  • @Roshby54 Thats a steel, no doubt. Pretty one too. I've been playing this song on nylon, sounds good on these strings as well. I'm biased though, I REALLY love the sound of nylon strings. ^_^

  • such passion and heart while he plays... sungha will soon learn and play from the heart.

  • Is there a reason why you chose to capo the 7th fret instead of the 8th?

  • wow, that's stunning! it catches the mood of the song perfectly

  • can you please send me the tabs

  • I've pressed the like button 50 X and i still feel guilty

  • Ich glaube ich kenne niemanden, der mit so viel Gefühl spielt =)

  • i reallly adore his aura... ><

  • thank god i can play this now =)

  • @JereZeful nice, im learning how to play the guitar

  • does anyone have tabs for this? :) Would be very appreciated

  • Hey ya'll... (I am from the South) give Sungha some credit... he's really young... in time he will grow into an awesome swan of a fingerstyle player. I admire his dedication to the style, his determination to play the pieces as arranged. Blessings of Jesus 2 U all!

  • i like this guy and sungha about the same. but i agree with those of you who have been saying that ulli seems more calm and relaxed. but sungha seems more tense when he plays

  • you make it look so easy!

i really enjoyed listening to you

  • gostei muito . demais mesmo o cara e uma fera !

  • tabs!!

  • splooie!!

  • Ulli is outstanding, but considering he has played with Shunga just proves that he respects him. Give him some time before you cast this kid into some shadow noticing every flaw.

  • @Missykicksassdude "considering he has played with sungha just proves that he respects him" Are you sure?? You never know if sungha's gonna play as well as Ulli or even better than him when he's at Ulli's age.

  • @woshiprozzz , I think you completely missunderstood what I was getting at dude. What I was saying was that Shunga deserves better comments - he's very talented already - he's obviously going to become even better.

  • @Missykicksassdude This guy speaks wisdom. You cannot ask the same level of interpretation and technical mastership from a kid than you seek into Ulli's interpretations. Differences in life experience makes Ulli's songs more mature and controlled, and Sungha's interpretations are more mechanical.

Both are incredible musicians, we just can't compare, as they are two completely different musicians.

  • @folkrav With all respect but you are comparing them in your comment. You're contradicting yourself.

But I do agree with you. They are both incredible musicians. But maybe its better not to compare Sungha and Ulli and just... Enjoy?

  • @MrThomye No comparison intended, as I was simply describing facts that any musician should be able to point out : you cannot seek the same level of interpretation from a 14 years old kid than from a mature man.

Enjoy both, as they are both great talented musicians, probably better than almost anyone who came to see those videos...

  • @folkrav,

You also misunderstood what I was talking about. You belittle Shunga too much - he is a mere child of pratically less than a decade of life; of course he's going to be mechanical - wait and see what he can do when he's Ulli's age! Shunga has gone far already, further than both you and I who sit admiring the two via computers... I would never compare the two by skill - I compare by passion, and they both share the same passion for music - each will interperate it in a different way.

  • @folkrav Ulli plays with more feeling.Every song of his songs tells a story.Sunghas songs are more technically complicated however lack emotion, but he's still young and who knows once he is more mature he might be better.

  • peut tu etre mon profff!!!magnifique cette chanson j adore

  • it's like you're in heaven, so peaceful and calm, I totally enjoy this!

  • TABS~~!!

  • This is probably a Lakewood guitar.

  • Lol, good guess....the silver engraving on the head says Lakewood.

  • @FishieJoseph yes, look the thing that i dont know what is in english, Neck?

  • does anyone know what strings he uses

  • @demir008 all of them duh

  • @EdwinTorresC ha what a retard yu are, i was meaning like what BRAND of strings, god yur actually a fucking retard

  • The sound from his guitar is so warm. How can it be like that? I've heard many people playing this song by guitar and yes, this man is the best. It touches my heart..

  • where is the tab to mad world

  • oh my god

    i can play it

    but not like this!

how the hell you do that!!!!??

  • I love this version!!!! So good

  • Comment removed

  • Ulli, you're an inspiring person and a man too be proud of.

  • Comment removed

  • Really enjoyed this great cover of Mad World

  • @synJAKEa7x Over course they do. If you think a guitar only makes noise, and doesn't sing, you don't have a feeling for music, which probably means you just play music other people make, and do not arrange/make your own. guitars DO sing, in their own special way.

  • synJAKEa7x -- A stringed instrument's sound is kin to the human voice; therefore, a guitar can sing. Consider this! To speak, or sing, your vocal folds vibrate, just like the strings of a guitar. I hope that helped.

  • the third video of yours i've listened to and the third video i love. you just got yourself a new fan. I love how you make your guitar sing so amazingly

  • if u want tabs, learn the song then learn the the words and how there sung then throw it together, ive dont the same thing with spell from marie digby, too bad i dont have a cam or a mic to post it

  • oh my god my ex used to listen to this song all the time i didnt know what i was clicking... thanks a lot for ruining my day lol can you teach me this? maybe she'll look my way again if she heard me playing this ;P

  • look up craig dobbins. he's a friend of my family.

  • Even though i totally disagree with that statement. Ulli and Clapton do have similar facial features lol

  • You are my Eric Clapton - but better : )

  • can i get tabs plzzz=(

  • Simply amazing

  • beautiful

  • wow

  • amazing :o

  • He plays while enjoying the music right?

  • this guy is sure calm but he is an big inspiration to sungha jung

  • So Soothing.

  • I love that, we give credit where its due, have being practicing fingerstyle using his book, its so cool man. Have you seen 'one of ours'

  • His book? Where can one get it?

  • The difference Between Ulli and sungha is simple, experience the Guy is out standing.

  • He's just calm and sungha sometimes seems like a little robot : /

  • yeah had the feeling like sungha is rather disappearing in his music then cheering up, was nearly pitiful looking at him at the kanon duo he did. but otherwise he is a young genius and probably will have a much better life then most have. maybe he is just wandering away in his thoughts while at it. who knows.

  • sungha just plays without emotions ^^ but he have a lot of skills

  • Sungha plays technically very well, but he is still really young and playing with dynamics does take a certain kind of maturity and emotion that I'm sure he'll attain as he gets older. Go Sungha!

  • @FieserKommentator thats what the experience brings :P

  • @FieserKommentator In 50 years Sungha might be calm:P

  • @FieserKommentator it's difficult to stay calm, if someone hasn't got a lot experience ^^ Sungha is still young and has a lot of time left to improve. From time to time he'll get calm.

    That's how i see things ^^

  • @FieserKommentator yeah but sungha got better now... :]

  • @FieserKommentator in time sungh
