  • Would've been great if you had touched the last 5 high notes...

  • the vl 1 is for pimps only !!!

  • There is a program on the Microkorg that sounds the same as the Piano.

  • I have one of these and I've used it on some track. The flute on it's highest octave is pretty good sounding. You can also sample the drums and pitch them down to get a much darker sound.

  • i have one of these! built to last!

    Einfach genial!

    Jens

  • @Korgator

dank TRIO und Human League ;)

  • @retrosound72 Classix Neauvou too

  • I had one of those. Play the notes in and then replay them really fast with the blue keys; it sounds like an old arcade game :)

  • Just got a vl-1 but can any one tell me how to get rid of the high pitched metronome sound on all the rythms? Very annoying!!! any help would be appreciated :0

  • germany not hungary...

  • can this thing actually make beats or are they just presets?

  • @774434 It has a sequencer which stops after 4 repeats which is a bit annoying. All the rhythms are built in but you can change the tempo. There's a synthesizer section with only one memory, the sound is set by choosing a number for each parameter. It works as a calculator too!

  • @Laura041974 damn! that is one handy machine

  • @774434 I got mine for Christmas in 1985, I still have it in the box and case. I lost the instructions but downloaded them. When I first tried the ADSR I got the old BT dialling tone; 5's gave a sound like the 2nd ADSR here. The songs in the book were old fashioned, not 80s synth hits! The demo drove parents crazy. You can find one secondhand as they sold well from 1979 to 85. Speakers, tape recorder or effects can be connected to it, there's no midi. See the Tablehooters site for how it works.

  • funny:)

  • 100 punkte =))

  • @SlimMixer

    :)) danke

  • This small thing is fabulous. Remember the musics of Trio - Da Da Da and the marvelous music of Classix Nouveaux - 627.

  • @Helderhugo

    yes! thank you :))

  • Da da da...a superhit in Hungary; we loved it so much! lol

  • @Aetila

    :))

  • lol Hilariously bad and remarkably awesome at the same time:P

And why do I get the sneaking suspicion this is from the year of my birth?? :S

  • This has to be the strangest "synth" ever produced.

  • love this synth one of my favourites

    Jens

  • @Rawwbot hahaha kommt noch! warte ab. ;)

  • @retrosound72

    *Wart*

    Noch immer nix neues ...

    *weiter wart*

  • @Rawwbot

hehe, donnerstag ist immer RetroSound tag! geduld geduld! ;)

  • Was ist los mit dir mein Schatz, aha?

Geht es immer nur bergab, aha?

Geht nur das was du verstehst, aha?

This is what you got to know:

Let you go, it didn´t show.

  • has the exact same samples of a bomntempi b20 ;)

  • I still have this!! DA DA DA

  • It's a digital synth and a calculator in one. Actually one of Casio's first musical instruments.

  • The same rhythmic pattern (transposed and slower) was used by Tony Banks on his instrumental "Charm" from his 1983 solo album "The Fugitive."

  • not quite the VL1 I'm after... but hay, they both have violin sounds :-P lulz

  • Diese erste Melodie klingt wie irgendwas Zelda-mäßiges... ;)

  • @OriginalBBQMaster

    ;D kann sein ja...

  • sounds nice ;d;d;d

  • @Linkydj

    :))

  • I remember I bought one circa 1980. May be because of DA DA DA :D

Thanks a lot for remembering these good old days :)

  • @Arthur60

    :)) thank you

  • Me Gusta

  • I am BUYING ONE

  • I'm pretty sure they used the same chip for this instrument than they used for their calculators...

  • @Elvenheim

yes the VL-1 is also a calculator :)

  • Sehr schön... danke.:)

  • @picturemusic75

    gern geschehen :)

    danke für´s reinhören.

  • At 3:05 and 3:19 sound is very nice...DA DA DA !!

  • @docfraktal

yes TRIO - Da Da Da and The Human League - Get Carter

    thx

  • I've been looking and wanting one for so long! Thanks for sharing and posting!

  • @ROBERTyay

    ebay?! ;)

  • @retrosound72 Yeah, every time I find one it's either out of my price range when I have the money, or in it when I don't! I'm gonna get one one of these days though..Dont you worry..
