@Lot2learn The goal note methed assigns a particular timing to line construcion where anything can be played but the goal note or final note must be consonant. Esentially the goalnote method entails playing chord tones on strong beats with scale/arrpegio/chromatics inbetween to a final chord tone or goal note. It seems like your doing that in ur vids becuase you always know what note to hit...lol Can you do a version of Take 5? I havent found any good piano versoins of take five at all.
@Lot2learn I really apreciate your vids however, I have learned alot (pun intended) by watching. Your lines/ phrases are interesting and your sense of melodic development is impecable. Not flatering just stating facts my friend keep it going.
This is a very imaginative take on this tune. Usually it's played in a heavy and dense style. This is airy with lots of space around the notes. You also edited out all of the fluff in your voicings - nice. Your timing is perfection. Very well executed.
Nice, I used to use Midi Piano for my tutorials, but it looked there was too much of a "glare" or whitewashed effect to the keys... I use Cantabile now. Very appreciative of you being able to offer your help to aspiring musicians, Thanks!
Nice :)!

Do you use the goal note method in your line construction?
danieljones013 11 months ago
@danieljones013 I am really not familiar with that method. I use the "does this sound good to me" method. ;-)

Like the VSTi. It's clean but with just the right amount of growl.

Takes a bit of tweaking to get there and of course I forgot to save my settings.

Dig the open sound on this. Very nice.
Yeah, the VST is pretty solid sounding here, though still not quite the real thing. If you ever get you a real Rhodes, oh man... :)

Hi Roger, a good idea to play this "classic jazz" Funk style .
Absolutely Great lines *****
