When I was 5-6 in the early 60's, my Dad (Barney Salvisberg) used to bring me to his work in San Francisco. Joe Tacchi (Buckley and Curtain Printing) had a Heidelberg press. One of the great treats for a kid was slowly feeding the idler roller against the leather belt and heaving back on the lever and ratcheting up the pressure to get it up to full speed. My Dad also ran a Linotype machine for Manchester Publications.
like what? i feel as if i missed out on something evertime someones talks abot a windmill. ive run GTOs Speedmasters and still run Printmasters and A.B. Dicks.

Yep... much newer then you said... they were built between mid 1950' to the late 1960's. I know... I own one and run it every week.

That one's actually from between 1954 and 1967 or so. It was mostly designed around World War I though.
