  • August Diehl <3

    He's simply amazing.

  • And it's hard to describe Ruzovitsky shortly, he makes different movies like this and "Anatomie". Woman asked if this theme – Nazism – was difficult, AD said this theme is important for him but it's not main theme of the movie, Nazism is only a background. The main questions is: 1. how would I behave in extreme situation and 2. what is the morality. AD didn't hear about Operation Bernhard before making the movie but he already read a lot about it.

  • ..."egoistisch" or "rigoristisch"), because he endagered other prisoners. A viewer should decide – his attitude was good or not, the movie doesn't answer this question. There are two attitides, one wants to survive and another one asks "For what?" AD didn't notice difference between this Austrian director and German directors and he thinks this is impossible to show such difference because each German director is different.

  • AD notices allegory – in this movie prisoners lived in a luxury part of a big concentration camp and now we live in rich Western society in the big chaotic world, so we can also ask ourselves like people in this movie: what behaviour is right. Woman suggested that Burger was absolutely good person and AD wondered "Do you really think so?" In his opinion this is the main question, at first sight, yes, he fought for right thing, but he was also egoistic/rigorous (I'm not sure what he said...

  • Gott, sind die Fragen dämlich.

  • JUDAS PRIEST HEAVY METAL YEAH !

  • why everybody is asking for translations? can't they try to translate or study a little bit by themselves? I've read many times "please translate".... daammn!!, AT LEAST TRYYYYY TO GET ONE WORD!!!! OMG

  • There is just something about this man <3

  • does anyone know where i can see an interview with him speaking english? it was pretty good in inglorious basterds.

  • @corodebuos agreed!

  • gute antworten...auf dumme fragen...

  • wow he looks so young here. But he looks so much older and more intimidating in Inglourious Basterds (where he was brilliant)

  • He has a gorgeous voice!

If I only could understand German!

  • 2:38 is my favourite moment of this interview

  • No idea what he's saying, but he's so GORGEOUS!!!!

  • @Lola5931 agree

  • For everybody who loves August Diehl, watch the Movie 23. IT is AMAZING.

  • Someone needs to translate this gorgous man's words !! He was amazing in the movie.

  • we agree. Someone, a translation?

  • @jolynn1045 August Diehl met Adolf Burger three weeks before making the movie, he lives in Prague but travels a lot to talk about this theme, he spent with AD all afternoon and answered all his questions. AD asked him a lot of trivial questions, for example about their clothes and shoes, then they made some changes in script. August said this role and real Adolf Burger weren't the same person. AD think it was very interesting to play someone who has good intentions but it endagers other people.

  • whoa!!! this man kills meee!!!!
