Thank you, Manjula! I was a bit nervous about using phyllo dough for the first time so I youtubed it. There are a lot of videos on the topic, but yours was the only one that really helped.
Manjula, your videos are fantastic! I just recently stumbled upon your page, and I am now in love. I can't wait to try everything. As a vegan, I find your recipes to very easy to modify for my dietary needs. Thank you for posting! Namaste :)

Hi Manjula, I accidently came across ur recipes while browsing net, u r simply gr8, ur recipes r the most delicious ones i've ever come across & ur humility gives that special touch to it ! God bless u .
guess what I will be making in the morning! Well after that :)! I will be making this!!!! OH question tho! the squares, are they layered the same with filling on each level or every couple of levels! I have never tried to make this but I will wake up and make this first thing..
Manjula Ji! I finally made your Baklava roll recipe today and my family LOVED it!!! The only changes I made was that I didn't add coconut powder because I couldn't find it at the grocery store, and I also forgot the cardamom powder. Other than that...a most EXCELLENT recipe and one which I will use again and again. Thank you so much!
Manjula, everything that you teach us is wonderfully delicious!
Please tell us the name of the (teaspoon) spice that you're adding to the sugar syrup. Manjula, you're Indian accent is lovely but I keep missing the name.
Yummmy - iI use the ground nuts with powdered cinnamon, cloves and ginger and sugar for filling and the syrup with sugar, few cloves and lemon juice. Baklava is lovely dessert!
wow......

This is very interesting, because the traditional original middle eastern/mediteranian/north African recipe is very different.

Aunty i need to ask you few question.
1. We don't have the baklava sheet that u used, can i use the samosa sheets instead of the one u used as that is available in our near grocery store.
2. when u pored the sugar liquid on top of baked baklava does baklava absorb the remaining water in the pan or does that make it soft.
thank you aunty for the great recipe.
