  • Thank you, Manjula! I was a bit nervous about using phyllo dough for the first time so I youtubed it. There are a lot of videos on the topic, but yours was the only one that really helped.

  • Aunty i need to ask you few question.

    1. We don't have the baklava sheet that u used, can i use the samosa sheets instead of the one u used as that is available in our near grocery store.

    2. when u pored the sugar liquid on top of baked baklava does baklava absorb the remaining water in the pan or does that make it soft.

The only changes I made was that I didn't add coconut powder because I couldn't find it at the grocery store, and I also forgot the cardamom powder. Other than that...a most EXCELLENT recipe and one which I will use again and again. Thank you so much!

  • Yummmy - iI use the ground nuts with powdered cinnamon, cloves and ginger and sugar for filling and the syrup with sugar, few cloves and lemon juice.  Baklava is lovely dessert!
