By the way guys, please note that the 'came' part is not reahearsed, you can tell by their faces, they have learnt how to respond to directions from the conductor, and to me this song demonstrates the power of God (hence the loudness of their voices), also with the control they have with their timing and vocal strength. It tells me that EVERY gift that God gives to man will always be perfect, it is up to us to use it as it should be.

@funnybroad remove innocent. One woman in that city was saved, because of her faithfulness, the song is good because it speaks of God's might, and shows how we as humans can accomplish nothing without God. Secondly, there is nothing wrong with death, as it is simply sleep, if you were good before you die, then you go to heaven. The only reason there is death is because of sin, whether we like it or not, there must be a death in order to be free from sin. We can discuss this if you want.

I've heard other versions of this song and this isn't the best, but it's not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Keep in mind you have young men and women participating in a university organization that could have been doing a million other things, but decided to dedicate themselves to music ministry. They're not recording artists and they don't have to sound perfect. Don't miss the message in the music being so critical about the delivery. Former SIUE Gospel Choir Member (98-99)

i go to SIUE and im honestly disappointed. it sounds like this choir has a lot of potential but i just dont like at all the way they sang this song. not my style i guess.

That was more a show choir thing, as opposed to an actual song. That in mind, the effect was very nice, and showed your choir's domination over time and pitch... with a bit of dancing. Good work.
