There was a medicare fraud ring being conducted by some of the doctors at the hospital along with some of the adminstration of the hospital. A group of doctors ended up doing time. Faced with losing their medicare certification due to the scandal, the hospital closed in December of 2001.

this sounds stupid but has it been reopened as a hospital again or is it still closed? cuz thats pretty sad if its still closed
