  • oh my god dude you rip

  • can you just tune it in e? (yes, i'm lazy)

  • Wow that sounds so good!

  • oh god that guitar is ugly as fuck D:

  • Excellent playing man, love it! Serious skills here boys and girls

  • This is amazing.

  • what kind of tape echo are you using??

  • Some people just got "it". That would be you.

  • That was crazy. Technique is crazy.

  • I might just put this on my list of reasons to give up. 'Humbling' is the word.

  • Yes!!!! :)))

  • Magnifique... Wonderful Soul & Style... Merci

  • What is the tuning sequence of the strings on a Baritone Guitar? Anyone?

  • @KevinRexrod B E A D F# B normally, but you could go down to A, or up to C, depending on the strings you use

  • sweet!!!!!!!!

  • Truly great technique and imagination.

  • sounds like a whole lotta fun to play

  • stunning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beauuuuuuuuutiful tone! Love it. :)

  • Good job brother.

  • Brother, I've been sick - feeling wretched, with a fever all day long - a down right suffering bag of germs and chicken soup, but this made me feel good for a few minutes. Cried at first. Laughed for a second or two and then just lie back and soaked it in. Nice. Thank you. Been considering one of these. ..the choice is made.

  • Ok, so here's something I very rarely say to guitar players any more... You're darnn good and a tasty picker. You've mastered what I try to tell guitarist all the time...

"Tone is in the fingers and heart, Gear ain't got nothing to do with it." Here you are getting that monster sound out of a POOPy guitar and a fender amp.

    Rock on bro!

  • oh man, so so very good

  • oh man, so so good

  • That was absolutely amazing! Fucking groovy!

  • I play metal and have a regular 6-string tuned in F# , I don't like the 8 string guitars most bands use, and have been considering a baritone , the tuning is just too low for a regular 6-string. Just trying to find a model that looks a little meaner :P what other brands make baritones?

  • Just love it... fantastic.

  • That´s some serious twang!!!

  • damn boy, you sure can pick that thing. A lot of folks are gonna go get a baritone guitar and wonder how come it won't make those amazing sounds that you can...

  • How well does the Danelectro handle distortion?

  • That is pretty wicked. Nice to see someone getting their money out of THD hotplate, and enjoying their Jerry Jones baritone. I have a neptune, which is a cool guitar, but not one of their baritone guitars. Makes me want to fool around with baritone, and see what I can do. Very well done, Jules. :-)

  • Really nice chicken pickin there buddy!

  • Jerry Jones.. wow they are sweet.. they only look like Danos... tone and playability out of this world .. .. thanks for posting

  • What's baritone, a longer neck or something?

  • @ImmortalReaver yes, a Baritone's generally got a scale length between 26.5-28.5, heavier gauge strings, and is tuned down 4-7 steps below a 'standard' guitar.

A lot of the old Ennio Morricone spaghetti Western music uses them, also country, and the super heavy emo bands all use Bari's a lot. They just fill a space that isn't mined as much.

  • @kerranz Ahh, I see. Thanks for the info.

  • @kerranz

I didn't know any emo bands used baris. Which ones?

    It's a shame they do :<

  • I love the tones you get out of that, and I'm glad to see you are getting your money worth out of that hotplate! Thats a great recording, and a fantastic song.

I love my Jerry Jones Neptune too. I don't have a baritone yet though, makes me want one for the twang factor.

  • Very nice indeed!!

  • Really enjoyed that. Great axe and great playing. You've inspired me to look at baritones.

  • Gonna get me a baritone guitar just because of this video! Nice!

  • Thanks for the nice comment. I highly recommend a Jerry Jones guitar - every one I've played is fantastic and the pickups in his guitars are great too.

    Cheers

    Jules

  • And I used to think that bartione guitars could only do metal!

  • I have to be honest with you, you're probably one of the best players I've ever heard. I love all your videos.

  • damn, i'm not into rockabilly at all but that's some awesome playing. just had to be said..

  • Sweet playin' bro!

  • The only problem I have with this video is that it isn't long enough! Fantastic playing, pal.

  • Very nice playing, sweet tone!

  • GREAT PLAYING man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I want more !

  • Brian Setzer comes to mind

  • Beautiful. Your tone is lovely.

  • A++++

  • THAT CRAZY AWESOME

  • SOWEEEET!

  • brilliant !

  • Wow!

  • Great stuff mr.

  • I want a three-set of those pickups for my Danelectro Danoblaster. They come as standard Strat-style pickups, but I want the lipstick tube style on it.

  • Superb!!

  • Nasty and sweet at the same time

    Coooool doooood!!!!

  • Love it.

  • NICE

  • What a sound !

  • Congrats

  • Cool Twanger, Well Played !!

  • Holy shit!!! You 're a killer!

  • just fabulous, and post a few more while you're at it, if you would . I've decided to get one of these since I've always opted for the lower timbers, usually a richer sound that way.

  • Fantastic playing!!!! Sounds a bit like James Burton, really great!!!!!

  • I could listen to this all day

  • Just wonderfull! Can you add some more?

  • This is a Jerry Jones baritone that is tuned to B or C depending on the song. Cheers - Jules

  • Awesome, way to exploit the true potential of these incredible instruments. I'm a baritone aficiando myself, I have about 6 Danelectro Longhorns which I converted from basses to baritones with custom upgrades (one even has a Bigsby), just the ticket when you need that extra sumthin' for those country tracks or secret agent movie soundtracks. I usually tune A to a...what's your tuning here?

  • finger pickin' good

  • very tasty playing, can't believe this one of all the baritone clips doesn't have any comments.
