@arslkhan no, but you wouldn't re-use a normal notebook either, now would you? The mircro dot notebooks are very cheap for how innovative the technology is, so being able to buy a new notebook every few months or so won't be a problem for most people.

Most lectures give u the lecture slides they use now to print off. Is there anyway of printing the paper off on ur lecture notes?

Pretty sweet Quinn! I could see this replacing my laptop to take notes. However, I probably won't get it unless I know that it can record the professor very well in a lecture setting...can you post a vid of a lecture microphone test, sitting in the mid or back of the hall? I love the recording jump feature when you select a word in your notes...that's amazing! Does it sync with your comp to print out notes though? Thanks...you're the best!!!!

Okay, I see now that there is software for $30 that will convert your notes to digital text...wish it did that without the extra software, but I see where it is necessary. One more question: I wouldn't be wearing the headset in class for the stereo mic...that seems rude...is there a third-party mic that is compatible (and better than the mic in the headphones?) this is better. i had the fly pentop.. and the fly does not record sound. its better for little kids in elementary school.

The pulse is best for older and college students, or even adults at meetings or whatever. Im a junior in high school now and this is awesome!

the 4 notebook pack is 19.99 which comes with 100 page, college ruled each, and ink you can buy that im not sure.

Thanks for this Aug 2009 review, iPhone Guy! Did you ever do a follow-up review, about the results from testing you were going to do, under actual field conditions, in the classroom and lecture hall?

In reviews in 2008, some found that the pen worked well when it was working, but it would intermittently hang and need a reset or reboot.

Could you and others, who have recently used this LivescribePulseSmartpen, comment on their experience with hangs and crashes?
