Unless there was fuel or ordinance in the target there should not have been that kind of explosion. I saw the law demonstrated for our training battalion at Fort Ord and the primary explosion was way less dramatic.If that had been an actual light armor vehicle I would had expected secondary explosions like the one shown in the video.

We don't do it to make those brave Americans lives seem novelty, but we do it to preserve history. I now know more about the Civil War and my heritage than I would have ever hoped to without reenacting. When it all boils down, we are Civil servants helping people keep history and respect for local heritage intact. People who reenact Vietnam are no different. Thank them.

I remembering watching or reading about a special operations camp being over run by the north vietnamese using russian t-55 tanks and the guy said he fired 3 M72 L.A.W's and all three rockets bounced off the tank.And since it was disposable the enemy would put prepped grenades in them and use a wire so if you tripped the wire you had a shitty surprise coming.

I myself am not in the service, but the only reason for that is im 17 and my parents wont sign the paper to let me join early. i know multiple service members who play airsoft and paintball. One of them might have been an airforce member, but hey he was still in the service and the rest are army. also, i highly doubt you have the right to wear that uniform. and if you do, i highly doubt your in any ranking position. What do you base that on ? They are called recoilless rifles if I recall correctly, but to my knowledge the "rocket" pushes the tube still back. When I was in the fdf we got to use some dummy (modernized!?) LAWs (designated 77kkes88 in fdf) but never got to fire one. The anti armour squad was based in our comppany and my friend from the basic training got to fire one. And i heard some even hit their noses to the rear sight... Even the practice rocket version atleast went out with a bang..

I hope your LAW rocket worked flawlessly. I work as an inspector in the factory that makes the tubes (the part you pull out and rest on your shoulder when you fire) and sadly, the plant closes in a week ( Feb. 6, 2009) and no more tubes will be made again.
