  • I just bought a UC-33e, I have tried to set it up in Ableton, but can't get it to work. Do I have to map it manually?

  • @ballefras All you have to do is to go to the midi settings in Ableton and under the midi ports choose the UC-33e as a remote control device (as the midi input of the device)... then just use the midi learn function (cmd+m on a Mac) to program the button / fader / knob and what you to do with it.

And BTW there is a preset on the UC-33e that suppose to work out of the box in Ableton (no midi learn required) but I didn't use that, I prefer to program the faders, knobs and buttons for my needs...

  • @ransalman But will I need to redo this every time I start a new live set?

  • @ballefras no you can save a template with all your settings... goto preferences-file -> save current set as default...

  • whats that with your iphone? nice job with the uc33. i am looking for one but can't seem to find a chill offer, perhaps someone any suggestions?

  • Well done my friend
