  • You did a nice job. But the sirens sound like a train.

  • fuck i love suburbans lol any one else???

  • @riverunner17 Actually, I don't really like suburbans, I just like the drivetrain mine came with. Been trying to replace it with a 4x4 pickup equipt with the same engine/trans.

  • @giberish9 i like almost any kind of chev, and the occasional ford, but chev cant be beat the toughest trucks out their lol

  • @riverunner17 i do especially around this year or a little older

  • Once it starts, it sounds like it's ready to go anywhere.

  • Engine sounds good man. I just picked up my '89 'burban from Portland Oregon.

  • Awesome. How many miles on yours?

  • Well, shes got a newer goodwrench motor and a rebuilt TH400. Body shows around 126k miles.

  • It's RRRrrrrRRRRrrrrrRRRRRRrrrrrrrrRRRRRRrrrrRRRrrrusted!!!!!!!!!

  • yep. hope to get my next 4x4 from arizona or oregon

  • @giberish9 wyoming almost never has rusted vehicles and we all take care of our vehicles cuz we keep them forever

  • @Puddelz69 I wish it was that way in illinois. Every vehicle I buy has rust issues. So far every issue i have with this truck is corrosion related. Thankfully, the original transmission had a leak that showered the whole floor with trans fluid, so the floor is solid as a brick.

  • @giberish9 yeah i'm lucky with my old truck, it was a county truck on fleet maintenance from NEW in 1993 till the summer of 2009. they retired the 09-92's in 08, bought 3 fords and 4 dodges, and had all 7 new ones replaced in 2010 with new chevy's, back to where 100% of the town fleet is chevrolet, and all but those 7 new ones are 93-94 chevy's haha, mine now has 260,000 miles and still runs like a champ. :)

  • hard to start hmmmm thats why you need to LET THE GLOW PLUGS MORE

  • Yep. I need to figure out how to get the controler to cycle longer. It starts fine if its 20+ degrees out or if I plug in the block heater.

  • @airhead323 i think diesels always are hard to start in the cold wouldnt you say?

  • yep needs more glow.

  • 60G's with a automatic controller = not enough heat. They need a good 10-12 seconds to heat up fully. (regular glows are 7-8) Put a manual button in and glow for 15, I bet it will start right up.

  • I never seen it done on a late model like this. Only saw it on earlier models.

  • Ya my auto controller crapped out. I saw a '92 6.5 (has same setup as 85+ 6.2) do the same thing

  • Where did you see this?

  • On a truck my friend had that I bought and drove for a few weeks, then resold since the trans was toast.

    1992 reg cab 2wd

  • I didnt know they made Suburbans w/ a deisel motor i own a 1978 and i wish it was deisel! but it has a V8 so i guess it is okay

  • You could say that thing is nigger rigged

  • What makes you think its rigged?

  • Well the dash is all tore apart, I am not making fun of it, I just see a lot of them tore apart

  • The dash is apart because the front speakers are blown out and the cover for the gauges are stubborn to put back on, so its staying off until I get new speakers.

  • Cool Video!!

  • thanks.

  • You should try glowing it twice rather than cranking. It will make those new batteries last longer!

  • Already tried it. The problem is that for some reason the first glow plug cycle lasts 8-9 seconds, after that it will only cycle on and off for about 1 second at a time.

  • You have to turn the key completly off to glow them twice
